My grandmother and I used to play Pikmin together, and we still do occasionally, but I remember that my grandmother, my sister, and I were in the living room of her house playing Pikmin 2, and when we all saw the Waterwraith for the first time, my grandmother thought it was super creepy, and my sister (who was pretty young at the time) actually ran out of the room crying! It was so funny. Pikmin will always be my favorite series of games

bro there’s several theories regarding the Plasm Wraith that I feel you should know about. Here are the theories: 1. The Water Wraith is a juvenile Plasm Wraith. They’re both made of a gelatinous substance, they’re both commonly found in dark areas, and the Water Wraiths are smaller. Honestly that’s about as far as that goes, but I figured it was still worth mentioning. 2. The Plasm Wraith was what caused the original crash landing. This one doesn’t have any real PROOF to it, at least from a scientific view, but it’s heavily implied in the games that the crash landing in Pikmin 1 wasn’t an accident. Also, its Japanese name is very similar to the name of a Japanese ghost (or demon or something along those lines, I forget the specifics) that, in its legends, shipwrecks boats at sea to try to kill the captain. That is important because in Pikmin 3 it kidnaps CAPTAIN Olimar. Keep in mind that Nintendo is a JAPANESE COMPANY, and this is a JAPANESE LEGEND, and there’s some evidence that it was a least inspiration. you know, now that I think about it, someone should ask someone at Nintendo who worked on all 4 Pikmin games if these are actually true. They both make decent sense, so I’m curious if those theorists got those right.

The first theory doesn’t seem likely, given that the waterwraith’s physical form is thought to be “anchored in another dimension”, although I guess it’s possible that “wraiths” in pikmin are some sort of bizarre species that protect their young by putting their physical form in another dimension.

Once upon a time I was young and playing Pikmin 3. I'm taking slowly and gather up my yellow pikmin to break down an electric gate, curious as there was nothing in the big circle that the gate was blocking. After the gate was destroyed I walked through and soiled myself as a purple creature randomly falls down from the sky. I nearly fainted, it was that horrifying despite me not having a fear of spiders. I didn't pick up the game again for a good 4 months. The shaggy long legs fine now, but that initial jumpscare was so traumatizing to me as a young boy that I had nightmares for months after the jumpscare. Don't get me started on that death animation...

That being said, once I came back to the game the creature didn't look as gigantic as I thought it. Fear really makes you see things where they're not, especially as a child.

Other than the Waterwraith, the enemies that scared me the most were the Mitites. They scared me so much that I tried to avoid breaking eggs whenever it was possible. I'm just glad they didn't return in Pikmin 3.

While you don’t have to use every type of Pikmin, it will take less time to kill if you use all types of pikmin. Some people use all 1 kind to prevent deaths, since the type they choose is immune to their deadliest attacks.

when you first meet him he is startling, but after that he's a fairly easy boss. in fact almost all of the long leg lineage is just wait for them to calm down, throw, then wait again only while being attacked, they don't even look like spiders all that much, their made of wax, metal, black coloured wax, (except shaggy long legs) they have four legs, a symetrical body, and no eyes, a very simple design that isn't that intimidating.

I would say it is in development. Nintendo, unlike other companies doesn't like announcing games too early in development, Bayonetta 3 and Metroid Prime 4 being exceptions but also examples of why they don't like doing it. They would much rather keep development a secret until the game is only a year or two away from launch. It takes a long time to make a game from start to finish, especially if the game is starting from scratch. BotW2 is a game that they were able to announce quickly likely because it is using a majority of the assets from the first game, so a large portion of work was cut out for them.

And it's basically confirmed from another interview (which was the only news we got since then) that the announcement 5 years ago was NOT referring to Hey. Many people believe the game has been delayed because of the two mario maker games and animal crossing because all of those and pikmin are made by the same development team, but I'm not sure how true that is. Also the announcement from 2015 said it was 'near completion' so that's another weird thing about it. The release of the switch probably also had something to do with it since they would need to rework the game for it.

The plasm and water wraiths actually both have the same name. They are called the amebozu which is a combo of ameba and umibozu. The umibozu is a piece of Japanese folklore and mythology, and for anyone who didn't know, it is a being that struck down ships at sea and captured the captain, never letting go. Ever. People think that the amebozu is the reincarnation of it, just attacking space captains instead of sea captains. Think about it and what it was doing to olimar. It didnt want olimar to be rescued, so it was doing everything it could to 'protect' him. The umibozu never let go of the sea captains, so this could very well be it. Keep in mind that every landing there has been a wreck. The amebozu could be responsible for the meteorite in pikmin 1, the trees in 2, and the 'accident' in 3. When u think about it, things start to make sense. Some people even say goolix might be an early version of it, but I doubt it.

Theres a theory is that the plasm wraith is actually water wraith and goolix. Following olimar the whole time meaning thats how they crashed everytime at the planet.

most of these bosses aren't even scary, they're just intimidating, with simple designs, and a slight familiarity to creatures on earth right now, and the colorful weirdly cute looks, the scariest part about them is to *deal* with them. The obvious exception to this is the wraiths, but even then the scary bits are just the music and maps themselves. If you just put either one in any level they'll be just like the others, *intimidating*

The Segmented Crawbster did have 2 huge claw arms but one of them went missing (presumably eaten). You can find the other arm somewhere in the same cave. If memory serves me correct you get it from some enemy or boss.

First of all *NO* second of all *you can see his other arm, its just very small* *and the other "arm" you get is a lobster claw, which is red and a complete different shape from its big arm* Sorry about the rant I'm just tired of the theories that arent even slightly true, but they become popular because no one wants to look at hours of dialogue or miss small details
