One Easter Egg I've noticed in the short films: when the digger collapses at the end of Occupational Hazards, the ship's research pod (the bow of the ship that accompanies Olimar and Louie in dungeons) values the debris at 10,000,000,000,000,007 Pokos (I may have gotten the number of zeroes wrong, though). The 7 extra Pokos is from a Bulborb that was buried underneath the digger when it collapsed, as Red Bulborbs were worth 7 Pokos in Pikmin 2

I love the drawings. Takes me back to when I was a kid when I was bored and would just run around in games and see random details. Nintendo was always the best at hiding things that reward this kind of behavior and I’m glad they still do it. I feel like there’s so much more to do nowadays, so I’m never so bored that I’m just going to run around the ocarina of time map or around the castle in Mario 64, but Nintendo is still at it adding little details.

I think the weird 4th jingle is a programming error. That is the original recording of the sound the pikmin make when they grab an object. Due to a memory leak or something, it isn't at double pitch/speed. The same thing can be heard in mario 64, where the Boo laugh is occasionally at the proper speed, making it way scarier.

So according to Pikmin 3 and the data logs, Louie was never left on the planet because Olimar landed for his 3rd time on the planet to get him back along with the president. The ship is also not plated in gold, so Olimar never paid off the debt.
