So what the heck do I say if I sneeze in Chinese -_-
Hi friends ♡
The second I stepped onto the motherland soil, the culture shock hit me like a truck😳 To this day I'm still figuring my way around, but over the past 2 years I've learned to adapt, and ma dudes it has been a RIDE. Spoiler: Wechat is the future🥵
哈咯朋友们♥
我一踏上中国读大学,一下子受到了很大的文化冲击:O 到现在还没有完全适应但是通过这两年,有学到很多很多!很想知道,你们对打喷嚏有反应吗?😂

I’m crying this was so funny 😂 I was so confused when I was at dinner with my parents and their American friends and their friends were fascinated by the fact that I would share food with my parents (eating off their plates and taking food from them). Also congrats on 1k, and you’re gonna grow so much more I just know it! 🥳💜

Yo CBC here, still in Canada but with a lot of Chinese coworkers. Learning that they don't say anything after sneezing was a real shock for me, and a real shock for them that we just have to say bless you when someone sneezes. I feel so validated hearing the same shock from you hahahahaha

I can’t believe that during my time in China the thing that confused me the most was how people react to sneezing. Is it just me?? Can’t a girl get a bless you or at least a zhu fu ni :( 没想到我呆在中国最让我烦恼的就是人们对打喷嚏的反应。这是我一个人这样想吗??至少能说个祝福你吧。。

@@daniels3404 I don't think you understand what "bless you" means. What is wrong with people trying to protect you from having evil spirits invade your head? Sneeze as much as you like, then get a bless you.

@@lovelypuff9 China is an atheist country in general... So saying anything related to evil may just not making sense........ And this actually offer the feeling that they are watching me doing my personal stuff(sneezing), and it's kinda make me nervous when I first came to america lol.

Especially when you sneeze without covering your mouth/nose 😂 so after sneezing, we’ll have to say “excuse me” or “I’m sorry” even after no reaction from others 😅 We also got Chinese culture here and I can relate with the medicine skit! 🤣 I once brought by my mom to a “oriental doctor”? and the medicine tasted SO BAD! 🤢😂

觉得最大的差异还是思维方式上的冲突,给同样的题材,中国人和美国人会想的东西是完全不一样的。 The way people think is absolutely different, it’s hard to put two countries peoples on the same table and expect them to behave the same.

Its because you don't understand the 包房文化. It was originally designed for privacy amongst elite government officials, and men that wanted to take and hide their 小三. It was later adopted by families that wanted to hold family gatherings which something more common now because Chinese have more money and can choose to eat out at restaurants which wasn't the case for the past 4 decades.

After a while, they notice and ask why I never join dinner anymore. And I told them, I will if you let me choose the restaurant. And I brought them to chinese restaurant and told them before hand. I think it's not only the culture shock, it is about a higher civilized society vs lower civilized society. As you talk No 9 the drinking culture, in China that's about 关系, if you want to keep a good relationship with you teachers and classmates, you need to drink with them(敬酒), and sometime they will take care of you(your test results and daily stuff etc. ) . BTW, I love your videos so much, I was impressive with your acting skills(入木三分). Keep going GEGE.
