10% cut in corruption could lead to 2% economic growth - Gumede

Governance expert Prof. William Gumede believes that if the SA government could cut corruption by 10%, that would lead to a 2% "growth bounce" in the economy. He says an aggressive clean-up would help the economy.

@09:57: Discussion with regards to Japan and obeying rule of law. They have the death penalty and we do not. Japan justice system you are Guilty and have to prove you are innocent. Japan moral compass is driven by the way laws and justice is set up. You can not compare the two countries. Our government is weak and our government made it weak to ensure that the corrupt activities continue.
