Description:
Bridges connect us to parts of the world that would have been otherwise inaccessible. Crossing over mountains, rivers, ravines, and even oceans, bridges come in all different shapes and sizes to make travel easier than ever. They can also come in different heights where they tower over massive drops, or they sit alongside the water. Either way, bridges are there for a reason; should you venture off the bridge, then you have a massive problem. You’ll either be met with certain death or your body/vehicle will suffer some damages. The bridges are there for a reason and you best not stray from the path.
But what happens when a bridge is dangerous and unsafe? Do you stop your journey and go home, or do you risk your life to make the venture across? Today, bridges are built to abide by certain codes and regulations so that there is no risk for a bridge collapse. The United States has been faced with several bridge collapses over the course of its existence, which the tragedies have helped write the manual so history doesn’t repeat itself. But there are many bridges that have been built decades ago that are still standing that don’t abide by these regulations. Because of this, they are ticking time bombs for a potential collapse in the future.
Here are the most dangerous bridges in the world. Whether they are rickety foot bridges or massive car bridges with weakening suspensions, these bridges might be best avoided if you value your assets or your life.

+Sean Andrei Antonio The Millau Bridge is perfectly safe - I've used it several times, as it's on the main Autoroute from the Mediterranean coast up through the Midi to central France. the only provision being that the road deck so high up that it's subject to high cross winds during bad weather, but that's the same for many bridges. I don't remember any 'steep grades' that would be a problem for trailers.

I cross the Seattle Floating Bridge almost once a week. It doesn't seem dangerous at all even after earthquakes or in heavy storm conditions. It has a beautiful view as well. As for Deception Pass, I have been on that bridge and it is a little freaky but lots of people go around it using other bridges or the ferry.

The Volgograd Bridge had the oscillation problem ONCE. "On May 20, 2010, authorities closed the bridge to all motor traffic due to strong oscillations caused by windy conditions. The bridge remained closed while it was inspected for damage[1] until the morning of May 25. It was then reopened for public access. To suppress the oscillations of the bridge, semi-active tuned mass dampers were developed and implemented by the German company Maurer Söhne in collaboration with the Swiss Federal Laboratories Empa and mutually with the University of the German Federal Armed Forces.[2] The concept of the semi-active tuned mass dampers was proposed and laboratory validated at the Swiss Federal Laboratories Empa by Dr. Felix Weber (Empa) and Dr. Marcin Maślanka (AGH University of Science and Technology).[3][4] In autumn 2011, 12 semi-active tuned mass dampers were installed in the bridge. Each one consists of a mass 5,200 kg (11,500 lb), a set of compression springs and a magnetorheological damper."

The Volgogad bridge was fixed in 2011. It was only closed because of swaying 5 days in 2010.

I don't think people committing suicide makes the bridge deadly. Like that's their choice, the bridge didn't make them do shit

I have crossed the Lake Pontchartrain Causeway bridges countless times as my grandmother lived on the other side. I hated it and would refuse to keep my seatbelt on as I was terrified of the possibility of going over the edge. Heavy rain causes the police to escort cars off at a very slow speed and close the bridge because of the water spouts that can occur on lake like they just did during bad weather on Tuesday.

To put the Deception Pass bridge on this list is silly. I have driven and walked across it several times. It does NOT shake, it is as sturdy as a well built bridge should be. It actually consists of two bridges, just a few feet apart. The one pictured here in the video is the longer one; the shorter one is just a few feet to the east of this one. There is parking on both ends Of Deception Pass, and a safe sidewalk on both sides of both the short and the long bridge. There is hiking right next to the bridge, and a safe, but steep path all the way down to the rocky beach below. This is a beautiful place, and breathtaking both in sunshine and on a foggy day - and it is very far down to the churning, swirling water below where you can often see seals.

I use to live on Whidbey Island and always hated driving and walking over Deception Pass. I've seen a car crash into the guard rail next to the car I was in and almost hit someone walking. The Floating Bridge I've been over once and just let me say never again.
