Here's a few more "Fun" entries. Frosslass: It freeze's it's prey with -60°F breath, and uses their frozen bodies as home decor... Kadabra: Was once a boy with psychic powers who woke up one day transformed into a Kadabra. Parasect: Controlled by a parasitic mushroom, and is basically a mindless zombie ala a kid-friendly version of the Last of Us...(And to make matters worst It's based on an actual species of mushrooms known as Cordyceps, that thankfully only control insects...) Gastly: It's gasious body is made of the souls of the damned, and said gas is deadly enough to kill an Indian elephant(Yes it's slightly implied that real animals do exist in Pokemon) in 2 seconds flat. Bewear: Despite looking like a giant pink Teddy Bear, this thing is strong enough to snap a human spine in half with it's bear hugs. Mega Alakazam: The energy from Mega evolution has caused all it's muscles to atrophy. Houndoom: The if you're burned by this Hellhound's flames, the pain will never go away. Banette: A cursed ragdoll with a personal grudge against the child that abandoned it! You're welcome...

TheArceusftw One thing about the #1 entry Strider forgot to mention is that in Galar, Yamask is a soul bound to a cursed engraving, and when it evolves into Runerigus, the soul gets completely consumed. As for Runerigus itself, you should avoid touching this monster at any cost, or else you'll be forced to witness the horrors of its past.

Someone posted more "fun" pokedex entries, well, I will like to do the same: Gorgeist: a sadistic pokemon as it sings joyfully over the prey's suffering. Litwick evolution line: it steals life energy and hangs out at hospitals. It's also probable that it steals the soul of the person. How fun that is. Honedge line: a sword that drains the person's energy when they're holding it, and is ruthless? Hmm, not sure if it's a good idea to hold one. Yyevtal: when it is reborn, everything around it dies.

I have theory!!! I believe that Mimikyu doesn't really have a true form. It's shapeless. Instead, when a person/Pokémon sees it, it will take the form of the person/Pokémon's darkest fear and turn it into the most sinister and gruesome version. This horrifying sight will give enough, tremendous terror to those who will see it, and, as a result, they'll die from a heart attack. If that wasn't enough, the sight of Mimikyu could kill them in their nightmares.

Yeah, but due to Digimon's edge and how they have allowed death in their series as much as they have, it doesn't surprise people as much to hear about Digimon being dark compared to pokemon, since pokemon seems more friendly on the surface. Digimon doesn't shy away from how grim things can be sometimes. Both things are great, just want to say to end with that Wizardmon is still what I remember most from either franchise.

In the 2 seasons prior, they did that whole reborn as an egg thing, but in Tamers, the Digimon who loses the fight is reduced to data fragments and absorbed by the victor, meaning that they're dead permanently. It made that scene with Leomon and Beelzemon all the more brutal.

For me the darkest entry in I think Sun/Moon about Primeape. It has such powerful and overwhelming fits of rage that it dies of a heart attack, finally looking as though it's at peace in death. That's utterly heartbreaking.

I actually specialize in Ghost-type's, my "Starter" was a Mimikyu that possessed my old Pikachu Doll; my other Pokèmon are Banette, which I helped get revenge on it's old owner, Haunter, which lives in the darkness of my closet, Pallosand, which I found as a Sandygast in the old sandbox in my backyard, Trevenant, found as a Phantump in my backwoods, and lastly, Drifblim, which I find on my driveway every foggy morning and that I let take me away to.. wherever it takes me away to every Sunday, which is alway's a weird, fog-blanketed field... and, weirdly enough, whenever I return back home with Drifblim, it's alway's the same time as when I left...

Mega Gengar tries to steal the lives of anyone and everyone, and will even curse its own Trainer. My personal favorite is what you get when you combine the SM entries for Mega Salamence: It bisects things in flight, and it has a reputation for turning on its own Trainer, to the point it has been dubbed the :blood soaked crescent". Mega evolution in general is horrifying: you're either psychologically messing up your Pokemon to leave it in a state of pure bloodlust (Lucario, Metagross, even Gyarados) or causing them excruciating pain. (Scizor, Houndoom, and Tyranitar.)

Every one of these pokemon are terrifying until you give it love and care it seems; i mean look at how many ghost types turn into goofballs when you play with them in gen 6 and onwards. (Thats kinda why I want mimikyu to get an affection based evolution in the future that gives the poor thing a happy ending. maybe a fairy/electric type with cursed body or something.) also the pokemon mystery dungeon series plays with these pokedex entries in pretty interesting ways; the first game uses xatu's ruby entry as a plot device of sorts, and Gengar is used as an antagonist
