We've all heard of Hypno, but have you heard of Cofagrigus, who eats nearby humans and proceeds to turn their carcasses into mummies, or Lampent who feeds off the spirits of the recently deceased and hangs around hospitals to do so, or even Banette, who lays curses on others by using its own body as a voodoo doll and sticks pins into itself. Pokémon is interesting, to say the least.

Driftloon was used as a helper in the pokepark series. Driftloon helped pikachu go to far away areas and safely puts the Pokemon down and waits for pikachu to come back so he can help once again.

Drowzee is based off the Japanese legend yo-kai Baku. Baku basically puts you to sleep and eats your dreams similarly to how Drowzee does (Hypnosis and Dream Eater) Baku is also responsible for the "just had an awesome dream but I don't remember it" phenomenon, just like Drowzee. Drowzee's FrLg Pokedex entry states that Drowzee is related to Baku.

Drowzee isn't that bad. After all, it'll only eat one dream, not the ability to dream altogether. Glalie isn't that bad either because a Pokemon still has to eat, so it's normal for predators and prey to exist.
