Thankyou Alex for another full on 10days of weather you put all your heart & soul into & every ounce of your own energy 😊 well done 👏 & its like i said on the weather live this week i don't know wether to build an iglo or an ark ? All i pray now is we don't get stuck in a rut as the weather from America will bring us more snow & if it comes from the east & merges together then god help us all this coming winter as we will need an igloo, & if this weather turns to rain then we will have a lot of flooding to contend with so an ark will be needed either way we carnt afford these kind of weather conditions so its like we are struck in the middle of either bad weather storms coming our way ! & we will be in awful debt if Scandinavian weather drags in high winds! Its almost un heard of weather conditions more like biblical role on the spring again ,i feel so sorry for all of you having to drive into work in these circumstances as well , please take care of yourselves too! & wrap up warm & dry , see you on the next deep dive , & thankyou all @ the Met office for preparing us for this awful weather of the future 😢 all my love & best wishes from Linda Dunn in Newport Shropshire xx❤😊

Considering last years weather this time last year i am happy we made this far, cause now i got a better quality roof and dont have to worry about tiles flying off everytime winds get slightly strong or leaks.

Great production, as ever, Alex. I spotted the same issue on your chart for Saturday’s low that I commented to Aidan on yesterday - warm air sitting behind the cold front as it advances. Very keen to understand this, as I would expect to see cooler shades for air temperature on the chart than in the preceding warm sector. But it looked even warmer. Thoughts? Thanks again.

Beacause it's a returning polar airmass ,that's why it's not as cold behind that Cold Front.

Hello. As much as you show what the weather is doing. It would be very much appreciated if if you show the temperature as the weather each day and hr and week goes. Due to many people finding the cost of heating very expensive and a lot of people living in Motorhomes and vans & caravan parts. Please.

I find the day to day forecasts on Met Office Twitter are useful for understanding those finer details, if that's of help to you. I don't yet have the app, but it'd be worth having a look there, maybe find more finely tuned forecasts for your home there?

Cheers Alex. I was wondering at the final chart with the low to the west feeding warmer air up from the south, and the high to the east pulling cold air from the baltics, if that would feed in snow showers at the point the two combined areas meet. It looks like it might. 👋🇬🇧🇪🇺🇺🇦🇮🇪

Crows won't be nesting til nest spring, but maybe they did position their nest lower in spring 2024 because of the weather conditions at the time. Traditionally, it's rookery activity, rooks nests in spring that gives the saying, not crows, but I guess that there are people who don't know the difference between the species of birds. Our rookery has nests at the most secure positions in the trees under 2024 conditions. We love having them around.

On our dog walk this afternoon I was looking at a long fast moving bank of high cloud going south eastwards. I reckon I was looking at the jet stream clouds. There was very little surface wind so those fast moving clouds were definitely very high up. The start of the video seems to confirm that. Where can I find out the day to day position of the jet stream?
