Oh dear, Nelly Bly deserves a better quality film than this. Looks cheap and sensationalized. If you can't do accurate costumes and hair, don't do a period piece. Why couldn't HBO or Netflix have told her story?

Nellie Bly deserves a big-budget film. Bye this same barbaric treatment is still going on today in the for-profit “Behavioral Health” industry.
@trixievonmothersbaugh13404 жыл бұрын
Hell, you don't need a huge Hollywood budget to make a good movie. In fact, if Hollywood could keep their grubby hands off of it and put people who care about film and history in the driver's seat that would be greeeeaaaat, thaaanks..
@johnhallback15609 жыл бұрын
Dialogue seems poorly written and mellow dramatic. I'm glad they made a movie about this but maybe not this movie.
@kaylacorcoran15338 жыл бұрын
It's a true story, that's where the dialogue comes from....
@johnhallback15608 жыл бұрын
I'm sure every spoken word was recorded and that's how they wrote this movie...LOL. I'm familiar with the story...needs more natural dialogue so the actors don't seem like they are in a middle school play.
@kaylacorcoran15338 жыл бұрын
Nelly wrote about it. There are accounts. Have you heard psychiatric Surviovors speak?
@johnhallback15608 жыл бұрын
The dialog I'm referring to is in this trailer...this trailer is showing poorly written dialog meaning the words chosen for the actors to speak and the way they are spoken isn't done well. Maybe you thought I was referring to something else. I'm talking about this poorly made trailer.
@johnhallback15608 жыл бұрын
I looked it up since I never saw the finished movie. "B-Movie camp and one dimensional characters". As I expected. The documentaries on this subject and on Bly's life were simply done better. This trailer demonstrates poor dialog writing by simply not giving the characters any vocal depth or feel. They sound like they are acting in a middle school play.

How did Christopher Lambert end up in this garbage? In fairness it is a fascinating story but the execution is horrific. The green scene is absolutely terrible. It looks like some sort of interactive computer game from the 90s. I hope that one day this film is made properly and it actually does Nellie justice.
