What an angel this woman was we need more like her to expose the many atrocities in this world inflicted on both humans & animals. It is a very evil & corrupt world we live in & Im proud of her that she exposed this house of horror & ended the suffering of these poor souls.

This movie was very touching to me I struggle with mental illness and depression bipolar and for these women to be locked up on an island like this I love Nelly I love Nelly for fighting for them for fighting for her life for fighting for her sanity it made me cry have tears tears of joy of how hard I fight for mine fight for my sanity lets me know like to love myself love myself enough to fight because people will look at you judge you shame you down you crucify you the rocks and stones at you and don't even know you it's all for their own benefit to make themselves look good God bless those who fight for people who have mental illness God bless those who love and have compassion for others

Stand up against injustice, even if you have to stand alone, in this case Nelly Bly brought a huge change, but even if you don’t; JUST DO IT anyway, because you’ve broken the chain.

We still do not take care of our mentally ill. Men and Women. boys and girls. it is now diagnose, treat, and out the door you go. One day maybe we'll realize this and fix it. doubtful, but hopeful.

Incredible movie! However, I would like those "political correctness" nonsense to be ended if they claim "based on true story". I have nothing against black people and I have many black friends, and against any kind of discriminations, but making a respected black lawyer in the 19th century New York is just not acceptable. It is just hiding a true and ugly history of ours. That part was a huge disappointment.

Excellent film and just shows how poorly women the world over were disregarded and not just in the so called dark ages needs to be seen by more people👍👍👍👍 needs to be remade as a proper depicyion though as a bit of a B movie horrer film as is

I agree. I think it was well done for a small budget movie. Some scenes appeared like a high school play. That said, the storyline was good and it made me read about the real Nellie Bly. It’s sad that in many parts of the world women still don’t have a voice.

@@Abolitionist1-l5f When I was a kid there was a man named Chris Holder who played kids songs. One of the songs he sang was called Nellie Bly, and the lyrics said "the paper said a man in 80 days would do, but Nellie Bly was not a man, she did it in 72. Nellie Bly, Nellie dontcha roam, Nellie Bly, don't you women belong at home". He came to my school when I was in 3rd grade and I am now 43 and I still remember the lyrics because I was so amused by the song.
