I've started applying these helpful tips to curating my general wardrobe, not just when I'm traveling. It definitely curbs my spending on clothes and prevents me from accumulating a bunch of stuff that doesn't suit my lifetsyle at all and just sits in my closet. It's difficult letting go of the fantasy person you used to buy clothes for, but very worthwhile and rewarding!

How much walking can you do in the cap toe slingbacks, if you head from sightseeing to dinner? I'm interested in how to reduce the amount of footwear. Really admire the travel wardrobe you put together here. Also, if you're looking for video ideas: I remember a really cool video you made about scarves...how about one for other accessories? Finally, someone as detailed about what to pack as me. I mostly travel carry-on. I’m planning a 5 week trip so next year October, and I’ve been checking the weather for my destinations. I like thin pullovers with interesting necklines. I always carry a silk thermal and thin wool sweater to layer. Funny, I do all the prep, and when it’s time to pack, I procrastinate. 🤦🏾♀️

Thank you for the packing tips. I used to use a carry-on like yours in the video, but another tip , I have learned that a soft one helps me add all the souvenirs easier as I travel. I also bring along a grocery type reuseable bag (mine currently is from Madrid- anything pretty with a squared bottom) and lay flat on the bottom of my carryon . As I gather my treasures, I place them in my bag. On my return trip home, I can then take them on the plane with me as souvenirs.

Well thought out and concise video. Love it. I was just in Nice, Paris and Normandy in August. Very different weather in each. On the beach in Nice, then wearing jackets and rain gear in Normandy (mostly at night). So checking the weather was a must for packing. Sticking to one color palette is a great idea! Wish I had done that. There were some blouses and skirts I could only wear once and not really mix or match. I’m a perpetual over-packer. And my hubby always gently reminds me as I’m packing! Thanks for the insights.

You are lovely and always provide excellent advice and tips. I swear by a color palette. For my recent trip to Europe, I packed black, tan, cream and some animal prints for pop. The only thing I would add is picking the right footwear is critical. Those brick and cobblestone streets can be brutal, but I don’t feel “well dressed” in sneakers. I swear by a pair of Chelsea style boots or low heeled booties with cushion that I can sight see in all day and wear to dinner at night. I absolutely love your style, content, and delivery and I look forward to your videos. TFS!

I recently did 10 days in England; six days in the Yorkshire dales/moors, and three days in Liverpool. I packed a 12-item wardrobe that had to include warm and waterproof clothes and footwear. Unfortunately, I couldn't pack it in a carry-on suitcase, but I have downsized from the suitcase that I usually use. I wore every single piece, and all of the new purchases (mostly the stuff for inclement weather) was an excellent purchase, especially the cashmere pullover sweater. Lightweight and warm. My color palette was black, blue, grey, soft camel, and white.

2024-Thank you Audrey! Yes I like traveling light and carry on if possible but I’ve never flown internationally. What airline did you fly on your trip? What’s the max exterior size for a carry on to fit in the overhead? Weight? Does your personal bag go under the seat in front of you? How large can it be? Weight? I’m going to rewatch as I was interrupted & unable to finish watching it all the first time. It’s really helpful to see how you planned outfits by activity then actually modeled them!! I may be able to dup some of yours by shopping my closet. I’m also anxious to see how you packed your clothes-Folded? Rolled? In compression cubes? This info will be so helpful for my 1st trip to Paris in April 2025!! Will all of these pieces still work in 2025? What about the leggings? Shoes? Thank you for such a helpful planning and packing for Paris tutorial!

Don’t forget sneakers! I just got back from Bordeaux and Paris and we did A LOT of walking. We were clocking in on average 18,000 steps per day. Parisians absolutely wear sneakers…I saw a lot of locals wearing Vans, Nikes and Converses…plus lots of Birkenstocks. Adorable outfits then a fun pair of sneakers. Love the concept of this planning. I do a similar thing when travelling. But I don't know how you pack the clothing described and stay under the carry on weight limits (usually 7kg). What am I missing?
@Julia298535 жыл бұрын
Anna Mcarthur me too! I was wondering how she fit all of that in a carry on. Also she mentioned toiletries but no makeup or hair styling tools. That always takes too much space for me. Would love a video on how to actually pack the suitcase! 😀
@rebeccaw96565 жыл бұрын
American Airlines don’t have weight limits for carry-on, like we do in other parts of the world. So Americans only have to pack for size limits, whereas we have to also have to weigh our options to meet that 7kg weight limit; and, perhaps look at lighter luggage options like a travel pack that only weighs 1kg, rather than a roller carry on case that weighs 2.5-3kg.
@AudreyCoyne5 жыл бұрын
Anna Mcarthur I’ve traveled on airlines with weight limits in the past and I definitely weighed my bag a thousand times while packing to ensure I didn’t go over. If I remember, the key was to wear my heaviest shoes, jeans and blazer/sweater (I was traveling in the fall) and bring light wool pants, and thin ts that I layered under my sweater and blazer. I also brought a larger scarf for warmth that was light in weight and I distinctly remember not bringing a hair tool because mine at the time was too heavy. I hope that helps and thank you so much for watching ❤️
@AudreyCoyne5 жыл бұрын
Anna Mcarthur also I remember my husband bought a lightweight backpack suitcase specifically for this purpose because his clothes were heavier than mine. He still has and uses that bag and it’s amazing because it weighs nothing
