As an American who just arrived in Belgium after spending time in Paris, I would suggest bringing a trench coat. I ended up wearing my classic camel trench coat almost every day last week.
@renee89592 жыл бұрын
@Sarah A It's a thinner trench coat. I paired it with light weight tight knit sweaters and turtlenecks. It created a chic look without being too bulky.

I would forget the clutch, especially if you plan to use the public transport system or you'll be a prime target for pickpockets. Dont forget to bring a warm layer, power cuts are already planned for October, and most public buildings are keeping temperatures low. Hi Audrey, As a former parisian (born and raised, I now live in an other region, still in France) I would suggest you remove the leather jacket and replace with a trench coat. Paris is quite rainy this time of the year and leather doesn't match rain that well. Temperatures can be a little tricky as well however october and november are usually quite cold, and there's been a temperature drop in september already. Therefore you definitely want to ensure your ankles stay warm if your cold sensitive. And a last tip : the outfit with a cap screams "not french" to me. You may want to avoid it, especially in the metro and touristic places. But definitely bring an umbrella :) I hope this helps and I wish you a nice stay !

Re: the ankles-those cropped pants really break up the long lovely line of the leg, which also seems antithetical to the Parisian aesthetic?
@milenal.33552 жыл бұрын
@@paulafagerberg793 no, you can find this style as well. It's more worn by teenagers/young adults though. After 30 you stare and scream internally "cold cold cold cold cold" 😀 But with boots it shouldn't be an issue. Not my personal style, but it's an opinion, not an advice :-)

@@milenal.3355 OK! Seems to me that Parisiennes simply roll up long pants when they want to show ankle/boot instead of having wider crops like these…? But I haven’t been to Paris since just before the pandemic, so your knowledge sounds more au courant!

🌟Audrey: Now, without a doubt you look lovely in everything showcased here, esp. the black top w/the 💕sweetheart💕 neckline. 😁Amazing how the simple scarves changed up your looks too, & it makes perfect sense to pack them. Although you didn't particularly strike me as🗼Parisienne〰️you certainly look urban & practical. ❤️Personally, I adore black & dark neutrals (like the charcoal gray jumper). Your leather jackets add drama, & the longer one has a sexy 🎬Matrix flair. Love a cap🧢, but it seems like a wool felt fedora would be much more of a ⭐️showstopper⭐️. Not a fan of the light neutrals you sprinkled in...way too boring💤 in my book 📖. 😡Hate the poufy light beige purse you were clutching for travel purposes😔. It seems so impractical. Being 🖐hands-free to shop & 👀browse makes more sense. Seems like a zippered crossbody tote would work better for walking, gathering 🌈treasures around such a cosmopolitan city, & holding your umbrella🌂. 🧳All the black trousers seem like overkill, & that you would be better served bringing a pair of your beautiful dark🌲 green as well as🍷bordeaux colored trousers w/matching jumpers. 🤩You look so absolutely stunning in those two colors. It seems a shame to leave them behind for the bland beige & white sweaters🤣. ❤️Love your comfy walking boots, your two tone low heeled shoes, & white sneakers. 🤔Although I think you should swap one of your leather jackets for a trench🌧 in either black, olive green, or khaki. Hope you have a ✨️spectacular✨️ holiday! 💚Bridget from Cali☘️ (using my pal's YT acct)

What American fashion…? Almost allll the clothes in the US is made in China 😂
@dori90242 жыл бұрын
@@vcr6854 Yes I agree the majority of our American products are manufactured in China especially fast fashion, but yet the style and quality of the fabrics are determined by American designers regarding the price point you want the consumer is willing to pay. Yes it would be great if clothes were manufactured in the United States, but unfortunately China has been attractive to brands from “all over the world” for its huge labor pool and production capacity as well as sophisticated factories and efficient supply chains. Crucially, low wages keep production costs down and thus maximize margin brands, from fast fashion to luxury. And many FRENCH DESIGNERS clothes are “already made in China” . And finally even though China manufactured clothes Americans still have their own chic, sophisticated style that other countries follow. Sorry for turning this fashion video to a political statement, but one must realize it seems politics rules even in our fashion world.

@@dori9024 yes many of the worlds items are made in China. Style and quality is lacking across the board in the states. Too much is being produced, and it’s always overpriced, with most being terrible quality and terrible materials. There’s way too much polyester out here. Unfortunately when people think of American style these days it’s athleisure or some sort of trashy kartrashian trend. Corporations wanting to maximize profits is what’s brought American society to the dreadful state it’s in now.
