It’s what I keep saying, Philippines dating scene today is nothing like even 10 years ago. They have been westernized due mainly to social media. That being said, in 2023 my 80 year old Canadian neighbor married a very good looking 24 year old slim Morena. He had told me he didn’t really want to marry, but apparently she talked him into it. I got the impression that he was very comfortable financially and at his age, she probably realized it would not be long before she was a widow. Philippines is pretty much like the west now, just with more and cheaper prostitutes.

The problem I have dating Filipinas is a woman leaves her family to become ONE with her man, NOT the man becoming one with her family. The package deal is a toxic trend that most foreigners aren't aware of. Supporting a whole family is the most ridiculous financial abuse and having people interfere in one's relationship is a deal breaker. You said for most girls, age gap DOES make a difference, they have a high preference for men that are handsome, fit, financially secure, etc. I agree and think that attitude is global. 100 years ago in the US, the women and men treated each other nicely. My parents never argued, never fought. Got along great. What changed in the last 100 years, is that women are now working, and making their own money, and they don't NEED men for a good life. Apologies for the multiple comments. Lots of points made and trying to keep responses short. Filipinas are NOT the prize... and neither is the guy - for 90% of the opposite sex. Compatibility is the elusive prize which makes both the man and the woman the 'prize' for each other in that particular relationship. If I had to put a number on it -- I'd guess that real compatibility in appearance, attitude, integrity, religious beliefs, family values, sense of humor (which for me is higher on the list) -- is a very small percentage of the opposite sex dating pool. Maybe 10%.

Hi Daisy. I have found my Filipina. We met on a Christian dating site last year and I flew to Cebu to meet her over March and April of this year. She has a daughter that I absolutely adore and I am very close to her parents as well. We are pursuing the K1 visa route now so that her and her daughter can come to the US where we will build our life together. Yes, we have a 30 year age gap, but we have the two most important things in common. We share similar religious beliefs and we are both happy with our family of three. She's correct in the fact that younger Filipinas today are NOT THE SAME as they were even 10 years ago. Because many of THEIR parents are in their 40's, and are of a different generation and perspective. Young Filipinas are getting more opportunities to work, study, and travel abroad, so they're becoming more self-sufficient. Many are also keeping an eye on the current epidemic of rampant white nationalism happening throughout the USA, so the old desire to leave family and move abroad has severely dwindled.. The best way I've dated in any foreign (to me) country is to make friends with both expats and the locals -- especially those who are dating or married -- whose wives/gf's will like you (because you ARE actually awesome, right?) and introduce you to their family and friends. Networking with good people generally eliminates the lies, etc. Of course, not always. YOU must always keep your wits about you. Even if you meet approaching on the street, whatever, having those friends is a huge asset in pointing out red flags they see in your lady which you may have a tendency to overlook because she looks like an angel. 🤣

Filipina Pea does quite a few videos on what has happened to dating/marriage in the "west" and why men choose to come to Asian countries. According to Sociological science girl always date men with a slightly higher social status/value than themselves. This goes well with you saying the fear of being seen as a golddigger. But every girl is different, her childhood, relation to her parents, what her female friends think is good - so with that in mind you have a good chance of finding a girl you can relate to. Saying that he should be handsome, rich, good singer it is like saying it is better to be rich and healthy than poor and sick. Theoretically Filipinos CAN be charged child support, most Filipina's can't afford lawyers to go after support and even if its ordered the Filipino's say they aren't working and can't pay so they're off the hook. That's why so many local girls hope they get pregnant by a foreigner so they can get support.

Daisy, I know you mean well. But let's talk about the difference between a Filipina and a Western Woman. Western women expects a man to make 500K usd, a Filipina (even if she's a gold digger), she doesn't expect a man to make that much. A Filipina only expects (financially speaking) a man to provide, i.e., house, bills paid, and enough to keep the fridge and stocked. BTW, this is before we compare the beauty of a Filipina and a Western Woman. Just so you know, a Filipina wins that competition with her hands tied behind her back.

Hi Daisy. I am a highly educated (doctoral degree) professional who dresses well, but i won't be wearing suits daily, especially in the PI. Even still I'm confused. You said that filipinas are not all single. Some are married and like their autonomy or freedom and privacy so they can have other men to have fun with. That can only mean cheating. But yet they value their reputation? What kind of reputation can they possibly have if they are cheating on their husbands and multiple boyfriends? Personally i don't spend time in bars and would have no interest in bar girls. I just need one good woman. I see so many street interviews where filipinas say they prefer older guys with Dad bods. So i don't know what women you have been narrowly talking to. And you even said they are attracted to blue eyes and white skin. And also regarding the autonomy thing , i have seen so many interviews where the filipinas are saying that they want to spend every waking hour with their man. Even the guys are saying this is problematic because they can't get the guy time they need. And a big question when it comes to finances -- do your Filipino BF and husbands pay financial support to the filipina gf or wife's family? In all the interviews where the filipina has been asked this question, the answer is always no. So why is it expected from the foreigners? There is a double standard and you cannot be naive enough to think otherwise. Not with a masters degree already. I think you need to get out a bit away from your comfort zone and do some interviews. And i agree, there is no such thing as a 'free' relationship. If it's going to work it takes effort and investment on both sides. And just to be clear, EVERY relationship is transactional. Even if you are simply exchanging love for love. That's a transaction. So we can stop having that conversation and beating that dead horse. Personally i want an educated woman or at least an intelligent woman who wants to build a legacy with me. I don't smoke. I don't gamble, and i drink only a little. I know that many filipinas don't have a college education because of the financial burden. That doesn't mean they aren't intelligent. Couple of things... females kind of have a sell by date... A woman's social (dating) value is highest at 18-20 then declines rapidly after 29, whereas a man's social value rises to 40 and then remains high... Pinay can make great wives and partners... American men marry Filipinas more than any other... and there is a reason for that. So, you are competing with women from around the world. In Asia; China, Japan, Korea, Vietnam, Thailand. In Europe; Russian and Ukraineian. In Latin America; Mexico, Dominican Republic, Colombia, and Brazil. I would not hesitate to fly for 32 hours to the Philippines for my soulmate. Mexico and the Dominican Republic are only an hour's flight.

This advice is spot on for anyone who is looking to date a Filipina. Don't think Filipina's are from the bargain bucket or are desperate and will take anyone. If that is your mentality, you will find someone but I don't hold out much hope for the relationship.. Examine yourself before you look for a partner and realise that Filipina's are in many areas the same as western women. The differences are cultural, so if you can meet halfway on culture, you will find a partner for life.

I got my Filipina (31) from a dating side, first day, she didn't asked what i work or some shit, she is teacher, lower middle-class, no kids, now im over a year happy with her together. It was easy game for me. She is from a province in Mindanao. Also Mindanao has full of nice people. I love the life here.. But for old people who wants filipina in her 20... A few points, Filipinos may love their country but i see many living and working here in Canada. Also they may fear leaving just to be with their foreign boyfriend or husband but we also have to face that fear when moving to be near our filipina, fear works both ways. We are attracted to clean, well dressed, intelligent, attractive women but because we are older we settle for flip flop wearing, uneducated, poor, sometimes with children, women with a good heart. We might be alone forever if we get too picky at our age. The filipina can find a fit young filipino with no job and no money or settle for a foreigner who is possibly unfit, willing to love and support them and willing to live at least part time in the philippines. It all comes down to choices and what's available to you. Caring is the important ingredient, who wants a well dressed handsome or beautiful abuser? Don't wait forever to find perfect people, life is not that long. Love comes in many shapes and sizes, don't be fooled.
