"We're not judging how you dress...", but... "we're judging how you dress". Personally, I'm not a model or high flying businessman. I'm a regular guy, and I'm dressing like a regular guy. If my Filipina wife wants to dress up, good for her! I don't judge her and she doesn't judge me. If you want to be the next Filipina Pea, you need to learn more about Western culture. Some of the things you are saying are ridiculous for us. We are who we are. Either a Filipina likes us or she doesn't. There's a million more Filipinas right around the corner. Filipinas should find a man that fits what they want, and foreigners should find a Filipina that fits what we want.

I completely agree. Maybe all Filipinas 'in general' tend to be a certain way. But at the end of the day, every person is different. You can't just generalize and say all Filipinas do X thing. I have encountered many different Filipinas that all value certain things differently. Never underestimate the power of the individual. There is no such thing as a 'one size fits all' Filipina

I love how blissfully naive you are. I promise that’s not an insult and I genuinely like you channel. 1st in order to define weird you have to define normal and both of those are impossible but I really get what you are saying. 2nd I would not date or marry any woman who yells at me every day. I NEVER raise my voice but I expect the same back. It’s funny how part of this comes across as “how not to piss your girlfriend off” LOL I still enjoyed the video and you made some awesome points. I love Pinays and there are some very different types there. In the last 2 years if I talked to 120 girls on Pinay dating sites at least 90 of them wanted to sell me nudes. LOL I am not interested in that at all I want a traditional Pinay with conservative values. I know they exist in huge numbers there. BTW You are maganda and please keep making videos.

I like your video. Many things you said resonate with me and I experienced all of them to be true when I visited my ldr in Cebu for the first time. We are engaged now, so the trip went well but now they are coming to the US. How do I ease them into western customs? In particular, rice. I will get a rice cooker, and we will always have rice at home, but when we eat out, very few restaurants offer rice on the menu. I've told them this, but between a new wife, and a new stepdaughter I know it will be hard to adjust. Any tips?

You say don't be weird but do not define what that means to a filipina. Whether someone is weird is subjective, not objective. Therefore you must define what it means to a filipina. And if it's different for every filipina, then it's not a valid thing.
@Galahad544 ай бұрын
On 4. Don't be weird. The trouble is, we don't know what counts as weird vs. sweet, normal, funny to a Filipina. This is especially true for guys who are ... a bit weird. #7 - Rice is like Spam in the Monty Python sketch. If you don't know, in youtube type Python Spam. Note: If you act like the people in this sketch, you will be considered weird. #12. Corny or cringe - again, we don't know what makes the list. Note that many guys come to the Philippines because we don't have mad skills in the dating scene back home. 13. Listen. Watch. Imitate good behavior. Love rice and karaoke.

read other comments and see your difference.... the fact that you start by asking makes a world of a difference. usually men that wonder, observe and in the end adapt. that will save you tones of bad moments. men who think they know.... well, tend to forget the reason(s) they had to leave their country just to find a hug half the planet away.

8:48 Dont criticize the Philippines? You do realize this is a free world, right? Most westerners will also criticize their own country, and anything else they feel has some issues that could be improved. It’s not an insult, it’s a statement of opinion. Often it’s constructive criticism.

I am so surprised at the criticisms about your 'dress nicely' comment! It it so easy, yet so respectful - and yet so many foreign men don't do this and can be both painfully embarrassing and oblivious. I was recently in a hotel 'executive lounge' with my wife. The area had a (posted but not enforced) ''dress code'. The most beautiful mid-20's woman I had ever seen came in and sat a the next table - she seemed shy but simply and really well-put-together. I assumed that the well-dressed late-20's black guy her age, who looked like he could have been a celebrity, was with her - and I was thinking, man, that guy really does go first-class. Instead, an older western guy wearing sandals, shorts and a baseball cap, looking like he just rolled out of ben, shuffled in and sat at this world-class beauty's table. I just felt bad for her - she seemed like maybe she deserved some respect.. This wasn't unusual anywhere in PH - girls who put in an effort to look both comfortable and neat, with foreign guys who looked like they'd never seen a collared shirt and probably had ggod reason to never take the ball-cap off indoors. So many western men don't seem to realise that a little effort can go a long way - and it really does show respect. Just a clean polo- or Hawaiian- shirt. And maybe not subject everyone to old-white-guy feet. In the Philippines, just a little effort goes a long way.

You make two points that conflict with each other. You say how important good hygiene is (I agree), yet you say Filipinas expect guys to dress well. Here is the problem, Philippines is hot & humid so while locals are used to it foreigners are mostly not. Thus if one is being forced to wear jeans and nice polo shirt and socks/shoes (or even dressier) then it is 99% guaranteed there will be a lot of sweating when going out! However wear shorts and dry fit shirt and sandals and one has a modest chance of not sweating out of control (thus creating a hygiene issue).
