Is a prerequisite for getting the sounds to be able to do using only the lips? I ask it because I don’t get them to the same speed and clarity

It is definitely always a good thing if you can get your buzz to sound clean and focused--it will help your didge playing. If your buzzing sounds more like an elephant then it needs some work. If, though, you can sound the same note as your drone then that's a good sign. This video might help in getting the right sound of your buzz: kzbin.info/www/bejne/nIawm6KXmtetgNE If not that, check out some "trombone embouchure tips" on KZbin and that might help give some pointers. To answer your question directly--the pressure of the didge "helps" to make the sound, so it's definitely all related, but cleaning up your embouchure can definitely help. You can try buzzing in a PVC pipe to see if it's the shape of the didge that could be related to the problem. Although not as interesting of a sound, a PVC pipe sounds very clear and you can find out if it's your buzz or not. Good luck!

@@SoundAdventurer how the "ground sound" at 6:26 is done here? kzbin.info/www/bejne/ZonPdp6bpNlqfq8 I try like throat clearing but the vibrating effect is not there... :( Many many thanks again for your help!

@@pedrosanchezpalma4443 I watched that part of the clip and what it sounds like he is doing is actually singing deeply into the didgeridoo. If you experiment trying to talk or sing into the didgeridoo you'll notice that some pitches will resonate with the didge and cause it to make that AWESOME vibrating sound. Experiment by singing different pitches into the didge and you'll find some that really sound great with the didge. (Usually notes that are one or two semitones off of the didgeridoo's fundamental pitch)

Very nice! I’m still learning so it all looks very hard to me! I wonder if you have a tutorial about that slide/sound you do just before the #9 text comes over the video? I am bot figuring out how to get those harmonics

OMG I get the Didge-itchy nose syndrome too! Thought it was just me. LOL Thanks for the new rhythms! Do you have more videos on the Toot? (Struggling with that)
@SoundAdventurer3 жыл бұрын
LOL! that makes me feel better about the itchy nose. I don't have any videos about the toot--I think my time playing trumpet helped me out there, because it's like buzzing at the same frequency as playing the trumpet. You might try looking up a trumpet buzzing youtube video and try and get your lips to make that same kind of frequency and applying it to the didge. Good luck!
@soulman8883 жыл бұрын
Love your videos! Can we talk more about the didge itchy nose syndrome?? Lol Does anyone have an cure or prep for it to make it less? Or is it just conditioning and practice and it'll go away (or maybe I'll just care less about it) over time?
