Thank you so much! This was very helpful! I always struggled with the teeth placement as most tutorials don't do a great job in showing you how to properly place them but you did a fantastic job in showing how to do that. Well done!

What hinders to create a new system? With time it might overtake the existing one. Give it a chance and don't stay in the past. Improve.

Idk if i found the drone bc it doesnt sound bad it just.. doesnt sound like all the other didgeridoo sounds i have heard?? It sounds ok! It just doesnt have that specific sound no matter what tone of didge they have they can make. Its probably my skill issue

Damn 4 years late to the party but I LOVE how you speak through this topic. Epic video. I'm getting my jaw harp in the mail today-- a brass-looking vargan (which I believe is a name for the instrument) made by Potkin. I'm very excited because I'm someone who loves and is natural to making mouth and throat sounds (and love voice acting textures,) so this feels like such an exciting next instrument for me. I "gargle" notes to "roll my Gs" on flutes like ocarina, so I wonder how that will sound on this.

I think you should do some more research before you promote courses like this. Unless you are an expert in course development and teaching I doubt you are qualified to make this assessment. I am and I can tell you that the course is not a well structured/developed/focused program.

Glad I found this review. I already own a host of very expensive keyboards and synths but don’t really know what I’m doing even though I’m still having fun and creating music. I’ve always wanted to learn to play piano the right way. The issue I have is that I might practice everyday for weeks and then get busy with something else and may not touch my instruments for weeks or months. Paying for a subscription can be quite wasteful if I’m not using it. The fact that this keyboard is a colorful brick without “renting” the software each month is more disappointing. It’s the same reason I did not repurchase guitarsmith when it moved to subscription based. I just don’t like to pay for things over and over again especially when I’m not using them. I guess I just need to go get a book.

I'm 51 thinking of buying my first didge. My question is, would a beard or mustache break the seal, do you need smooth skin to make the seal?

Might sound weird to some people. But you can also use the cheap glue on nails from the pharmacies or Amazon and trim them to the length and shape that you want. If you don't want to grow your own nails.

it's also awesome to just practice improvisation. In a little while you'll just relax and play whats in your head and it will sound good. Not mozart great, but good enough since kalimba just sounds great. Also check out other tunings like c minor (dreamy and melancholic in this case) or "evil" tuning (named after a song, not actually evil)

lumi seems interesting but the fact that it dont work like synthesia or with synthesia is a turn off for me, i hate subscription fees. i got many midi songs that i can play with my very cheap casio LK and a memory card. so at that expensive price i feel like this company is more than greed.. sad and ill pass my turn and wait for a bluetooth alternative for my ipad

Excellent video. I’m Just farting around with the empty roll of toilet paper/tinfoil/paper towel rolls so far. So far I’ve been screamed at and cussed at for my efforts. Some people just have no appreciation for making music. Damn Debbie Downer shitting all over my empty toilet paper roll didgeridoo doo practice with empty paper for poopoo 💩. All farts aside really got a lot out of your video. Thank you.

I can't get the circular breathing down for the lofe of me. I can blow on it just fine but i can't keep it going constantly.
@SoundAdventurer
@SoundAdventurer 2 ай бұрын
Practice with blowing through a straw in water. If you can consistently do that for several days, it will help you on your didgeridoo. One thing I've found is if you have a a didgeridoo that's very wide and has very little back pressure (that's the resistance you can feel while blowing into it), that it's VERY hard to circular breathe. So... you can try this on a 3/4 inch PVC pipe and see if it's easier to get down.

They don't get very loud--I've tried them myself and it's amazing how much more sound you can get with a nicer harp. You can try bending the harp a bit to try and narrow the gaps (the larger the gaps, the less the sound).... but you may break it.

Very nice video! I'm looking to record USB midi from Nitro Mesh. I'llt try out the free DAW you linked. I'm assuming before I record/play, I can pick a plugin I want to use to feed sound and hear that specific kit while I'm playing in realtime? Just trying to understand the sequence of events. Thanks again for the great walkthrough!
@SoundAdventurer
@SoundAdventurer 2 ай бұрын
Yes that's right. You'll need to configure your DAW to use ASIO drivers (ASIO4ALL is a popular free driver you can download) so it's as instantanous as possible. But yes, you'll be able to adjust your sounds however you like on your DAW.
