Wouldn't go near Morgan Rogers from Villa as will be too rotational for me especially with Villa signing Jaden Philogene from Hull and Buendia coming back from injury. Andy Robertson is also a risk for minutes so I'd go with Trent or Van Dijk there. With Robinson I doubt if Fulham will keep that many clean sheets without Paulinha and him heading off to Bayern, he was really important to the front of that defence for them so I think they're going to get a lot less clean sheets this season. Barco looks like a really good shout, a starting attacking LB for Brighton and it doesn't look like Estupinan will be back for Brighton until October sometime and Chris Wood looks like a solid option as he scored 14 goals in 20 starts last season and Forest have got great fixtures to start off the season I just worry a little about his minutes with Awoniyi in the side aswell as Nuno could rotate between the two of them quite a bit however Awoniyi is very injury prone so that could make Wood the starter for a lot of the games going forward in the season so I'd say Wood is definitely a viable option.

Just wanted to add another player that's going completely under the radar too is Ezri Konsa. Villa have great fixtures from 3-9 this season and he started 35 times for them last season aswell. If we also factor in how well drilled they have become defensively under Emery and signing the likes of Maatsen in his defense who was involved in getting Dortmund to the Champions League final last season and Amadou Onana who was also a contributing factor responsible for Everton keeping 13 clean sheets last season and now he plays in a better team and a better defense in Villa. You also factor in that a lot of Villa's best defensive assets were injured last season too so they would have kept more clean sheets there they definitely underperformed their XG there, also fun fact Ezri Konsa had one of the best statistics and percentages for fouls won inside the penalty box by a defenders last season too.

@@alexandermcbrien264 I’m with you, just that he’s not necessarily flying under the radar with 18.4% ownership so I didn’t include him in this video. That said, he’s been in all my GW1 drafts!

@@alexandermcbrien264 Konsa profited a lot for starts due to injuries, so he could play rightback and when they played a back 3. But with Cash fit that position seems not possible for him anymore. And they stopped playing a back 3. Pau Torres seems the only Villa defender locked in for the left CB, on the right Carlos and Konsa are battling.

Hi Consult, I’ve gone with a very weird draft but i think it could pay off extremely well. Haaland, Isak, Wood Son, Bowen, Gordon, Eze, Nkunku All 4.5 mil defenders Raya + 4.0 mil goalkeeper. Why is everyone overlooking Son when he got more pts than Salah last season and is 2.5 mil cheaper. Plus Salah is playing in a new system with Slot as manager. Salah will still do well and will rack up over 180 pts for sure but for 2.5 mil less Son could be a great differential and enabler at only 8% owned. Also Szobozlai or nkunku?

I understand going for Son to save money and won’t advise against him, but Bowen I’m less keen on. Nkunku feels like a lock for me so Nkunku > Szobo

@@FPLConsult Why not Bowen? Got 180 pts last season. That’s 1 less than Gordon and 5 less than Ødegaard. He also rotates nicely with Chris Wood. When Chris Wood has Liverpool away and Chelsea away Bowen has Fulham away and Ipswich at home. Who would you go for instead around that price bracket? Already have Gordon and Eze.

Feel like it’s the 5m price tag. We’ll need guaranteed minutes and consistent attacking threat if we’re paying 5m for Maatsen. Not saying he won’t have both, but there’s some uncertainty and that’s enough to put me off for now
