Great to hear that you're getting a Lhasa Apso! They're known for being loyal, affectionate, and playful companions. Just make sure to do your research on their specific needs and temperament to ensure a happy and healthy life together.

Our dog is half chow half Shepard and this explains a lot lol

Haha, it sure does! Your dog is like the yin and yang of the canine world. It's part independent and aloof like a Chow Chow and part eager to please and protective like a German Shepherd. It can't decide which breed it wants to be, but that's what makes them so special and unique. You never know what you're going to get with a mutt, but it's always a fun surprise! 😁

@@dogbreedsFAQ That's exactly right! He's an older dog now, and he wants to make us happy but he acts like it's torture to leave the park, or turn for home when we're walking. Just for a few minutes then he acts fine. Like a kid that wants to stay just 5 more minutes lol

mostly I've heard bernese mountain dogs are more prone to separation anxiety

Maybe separation anxiety is common with this breed especially the untrained ones.

@@dogbreedsFAQ yeah also can be hard with anecdotal evidence, no crate training or even a runt of the pack dog can be a lot more sensitive than your average dog from a breed that is generally more sensitive

NO dogs want to be left alone, and NEVER more than 4-5 hours. If that’s too inconveniant for you - get a cat!!!
@dogbreedsFAQ Жыл бұрын
You make a good point about dogs not wanting to be left alone for extended periods of time. Dogs are social animals and they thrive on companionship and interaction with their owners or other dogs. Leaving a dog alone for more than a few hours can lead to boredom, loneliness, and anxiety. However, it's also important to note that every dog is different and has their own unique needs and personality. Some dogs may be more comfortable being left alone for longer periods of time than others, while others may have a harder time coping with separation.

for my dog it he doesn’t last an hour and he’s a puppy which I understand also he’s a poodle but later on in his life if there is a way I could get at least a 3 hour break that would be perfect 😭😭
