As an ironworker, I deal with the construction of buildings in all phases, and when you have a dozen crews all doing different work, stupid stuff happens all the time. Last week my crew came to a site to put some steel in and there was a wall in the way. "Well can't you just put it inside the wall?" Yeah, let me hail Miles O'Brien and we can beam the steal inside the wall.

The tower of Pisa was actually built over hundreds of years. It tilted very early on and overtime different people decided to continue the project, knowing it was tilted an it was unusable. Turns out even in the middle ages it attracted tourists.

There was also a John Hancock Tower in Boston, it was only 60 stories, though it was one of Boston's tallest buildings since 1976. I think they showed the picture of Chicago's JHT though

The house in which I currently live in now, would be considered as a construction fail as well, since the walls and tiles on the floor are forever moving and cracking, resulting in these huge cracks in the floor, where it is deep enough for millions of ants to come out from these cracks (that is why we have an ant problem..) and not only that, but big chunks of the wall fall out regularly. Why you ask? Because some idiot decided that it wa a good idea to build on top of clay ground! :|

There really aren't to many rules for building a staircase but, going from one place to another seems pretty key. The problem with staircases is that they take you up or down into a different place, but this pesky problem was solved BY A BRICK WALL! BUILT DIRECTLY IN THE PATH OF THE STAIRCASE! And then this is one that was built by someone who CLEARLY RAN OUT OF FUCKS! It's pretty simple guys, if ya can't build stairs properly CONSIDER NOT BUILDING STAIRS!?
