As an old guy (42) and new skater, this was super helpful. McNugget said it best to set a goal to push yourself, was doing that today working on backside kickturns on a quarter, just chose a mark on the ramp to get higher than each time. Also, I love trick #10, roll on grinds, I spend a lot of time doing these in a parking lot.

@Brokedeck Жыл бұрын
@mcdonaldburgerpatty8022 So skaters actually don't face the sides of the board ( shoulders being parallel with the longitudinal profile of the board), actually to have better control over pushing or "pumping" , place your front foot ( left or right; goofy or regular) behind the trucks pointed towards the nose but slightly off to the inside. Back foot should be perpendicular to the length and in the curve of the tail. Where ever your shoulders face is the direction the board will move. So turn your shoulders to the direction you're trying to propergate to. Unfortunately these are the basic steps so there's no more simplifying, just practice. Keep skating. And don't forget: if they matter they won't mind. If they mind, they don't matter.
