Everybody who wants to skate. PLEASE don’t be afraid to ask questions or talk to other skaters. I’ve been skating for about five-six months and have met maybe over 50 people at 1 skatepark alone.

Swaziland Tsimbo I wasn’t sociable either but if you want people to skate with get out of your comfort zone. That’s a lil of what skateboarding is, doing something you normally wouldn’t think of. Just talk to people if it’s awkward move on and find another friend ig 😂

As an old guy (42) and new skater, this was super helpful. McNugget said it best to set a goal to push yourself, was doing that today working on backside kickturns on a quarter, just chose a mark on the ramp to get higher than each time. Also, I love trick #10, roll on grinds, I spend a lot of time doing these in a parking lot.

@mcdonaldburgerpatty8022 So skaters actually don't face the sides of the board ( shoulders being parallel with the longitudinal profile of the board), actually to have better control over pushing or "pumping" , place your front foot ( left or right; goofy or regular) behind the trucks pointed towards the nose but slightly off to the inside. Back foot should be perpendicular to the length and in the curve of the tail. Where ever your shoulders face is the direction the board will move. So turn your shoulders to the direction you're trying to propergate to. Unfortunately these are the basic steps so there's no more simplifying, just practice. Keep skating. And don't forget: if they matter they won't mind. If they mind, they don't matter.

Whether it's a quarter or mini ramp (not vert) 😜 I have gotten comfortable kick turning on the transition but that last little bit to get the wheel over the coping keeps stuffing me up. I’ve tried quad skates and inline skates and now I wanna skateboard. It’s intimidating at first but I love learning new things

Don’t forget about finger tricks! Board drops in different hand spots. Casper tricks, primo freestyle tricks, those are all way easier than learning to kickflip right away and still getting cool tricks for your bag of skate

Thanks for the video, this is effin' great as I'm soon going to go to the skatepark for the first time and I'm a total beginner. Reason why I haven't went sooner is because riding fakie is super difficult for me idk just messes with my brain real hard
