2:44 For coring apples, if you don't have an apple corer, I recommend just cutting the apple in half, and using a melon baller to scoop out the core. The typical melon baller scoops out a ball that's exactly the size of an apple core. Try it and see if it doesn't work better.

@kimoverpeck1065 Easy things that can be done in air-fryer. Importang to bring - silicon baking pans or glass/steel (no need to wash the whole air fryer basket) + tongs & oven mitt Ingredients can be packed in a cooler or bought at any basic store- * chicken wings/drumsticks/thighs (dont bother to bread, jist spray w oil) * steak, thin beef cuts * ground meat with butter/olive oil * porkchops, porkbelly, ribs, lambchops, * salmon steak/fillet (any other fish) * bacon, ham, pastrami, corned beef ,etc. * eggs (fried/"boiled") * meatballs * omelletes * apple crisp or cinnamon apples without topping * roast potatoes/peppers/asparagus/ any veg * tofu slices * packaged stuff like chkn nuggets, fish fingers, burrits, savory pies (i prefer a fresh steak or salmon myself) Doesnt cover Bread/rice etc. Cooking ideas ; * basic: cook each main with just salt, pepper seasoning * mix it up : - sauce as desired (cook chicken basic then poilir teriyaki sauce) - add cheese or egg - wrap stuff in bacon/ground meat/chicken skin eg a scotch egg Basics he needs are salt, pepper, olive oil, butter, garlic powder, favorite mixed seasonings (italian, tex/mex, herbes de provence, curry powder etc.) He can also bring some -favorite sauces & condiments (bbq, steak, vinegraitte teriyaki, mustard) - cheese - silicon baking pans or glass/steel (no need to wash the whole air fryer basket) - tongs & oven mitt - trivet/more oven mitts (somthing to put the hot pan on so he doesn't burn the hotel furniture 😅) This is my life when i am bedridden for months with autoimmune flareup. Air fryer is beside my bed, as well as salt, olive oil & italian seasoning. I keep salmon steaks, ground meat, eggs, butter, cheese in ref (bought by mu sister) I dont evem bother mixing up or having sauce bec can barely function Hope this helps, Happy eating!

I have to recommend something for potatoes in the air fryer. Sweet or regular. If you cut them into roughly the size you have them in this video, if you cook them super low (under 300 degrees Fahrenheit) first for about 15 minutes, then crank them up to 400 for another 10, they will be SUPER soft in middle and crisp up so much nicer. (you know your kids obviously, but I think you may enjoy this process better. It's a little longer, but I find it's like adding a blanching step without actually boiling anything.

My daughter's favourite snack from a young age was cocktail tomatoes and blueberries. Sometime between age 4 and 5 she declared that all vegetables and fruits are healthy ( I was trying to keep that a secret!) and therefor yuck! She keeps stating that she will only eat sweets! Luckily her favourite soup is broccoli. She will also eat carrots because everybody knows that bunnies eat carrots and bunnies are sweet. And of course, apples, because apples are unicorns' favourites. And pepper, aubergine and courgette when we allow it - because normally only adults eat those! Phew... I don't know how long I can keep up with the lies!!!!

FYI my child won't eat brocoli or cauli but will eat every other type of veg or fruit or even food in general, to imply that a parent isn't doing their best to feed their child healthy food just because they won't eat brocoli is very close minded

Another idea I came across recently is using a tortilla, I use Siete because they are thin and crisp up nicely, fill and wrap and air fry for about 5-10 minutes fillings can range from a simple cheese stick to, cooked meatballs ( mash them) mixed with cheese and marina sauce, combinations are endless. They make fantastic finger food and you can use so many dips too!

Such a useful tool. I got mine for birthday and was very happy that I could finally do stuff like fried chicken without having to rid off 2 litres of oil afterwards and having my kitchen in greasy splatters. I can also quickly roast pepppers, spices for adobos, salsas, veggies for stock etc. Quite handier than a regular oven for some applications.

The wider temperature range of modern air fryers also makes them really good for quickly warming up bread products. Toss a handful of frozen fully baked rolls into the air fryer at 160F for a 15-20 minutes and you've got a bunch of warm and fluffy rolls.

I love your air fryer recipes. I am such a noob at it even though I've had it for almost a decade. My son, who is actually very well versed in the kitchen, uses the air fryer for 90% of the meals he makes for himself. Excluding soup and cold sandwiches. I usually bulk prep foods and freeze them and then he heats or reheat in the air fryer. He is 15 but he has been using it independently for probably 4-5 years and he's been using it more and more. Definitely a staple appliance for teens / college students.

think you should start experimenting and adding stuff to that grilled cheese pockets like chicken, ham, ketchup, marinara, I have somewhere in the basement a sandwich press that was kind of designed for sealing those edges, I remember one time we were making some while some friends were over and he suggested ham, cheese, ketchup and relish, sounds weird but it was actually very good, he said they did those for themselves at work in a restaurant.

I started my son on fresh and whilesome foods, and sadly.as he got older he developed some type of sensory problem with food. He would gag and throw up eating the things he used to love. Now he eats much more processed food because it's all he won't throw up. I never gave him the choice until there wasn't anything he could eat. There are still a few things he will eat that isn't processed like homemade tenders, fish sticks, and banana oat pancakes. Just know some of us free our kids what they will eat not out of lack of trying.
