Regarding Scatter, Two things, 1) after the addon is installed it adds a "Scatter Objects" Menu button. After you select the objects you want to scatter and then the plane, goto Objects>Scatter Objects (at the botton of the panel)...then start painting. 2) After you commit the scatter, you can edit individual objects: goto Objects>Apply>Make Instances Real (bottom of the panel). Then you can modify each instance as an individual object. Here a video explaining... kzbin.info/www/bejne/aaXcknR5mbVljdE

I don't get the UV Textures List inside the Brows Materials to be listed Tab. I know this is a simple fix lol. Been out of Blender for months still shaking off some rust lol.
@UHStudio4 жыл бұрын
Textures are different than materials. As far as I know, magic uv doesn't produce any materials but eases the creation and manipulation of UVs. To get a brick texture, create a new material, then go to shader nodes window and either add a brick image texture or Blender's procedural brick texture and then connect it to your diffuse color in the material node.

How does Blender compare with Unreal Engine 4 for the idea of architectural illustration, movies and user walkthroughs for architectural work. I use Autocad Architecture (3D) and it doesn't play well with anyone else so it's a fair hike to get a model into another program. And then there is Lumion which is custom made for Architectural work but it's $$$ more than free.
@andrewcrus5 жыл бұрын
About Lumion. Its 100% marketing product, it have almost the same learning curve as UE4 but reqires 10 time more ram etc.
@NathanEllery5 жыл бұрын
@@andrewcrus Well that's an interesting comment. So Lumion is not so easy to use? Not as they describe? Thanks.
@andrewcrus5 жыл бұрын
@@NathanEllery Its like they describe but - you need to move and place hundrets of objects, choose materaial, adjust lighting etc, you will do the same steps in UE4, wich has enormus amount of possobilities but for simple visualisation you dont need it. So IMHO its better to learn UE4 basics.
@andrewcrus5 жыл бұрын
Also Blender Eevee (dont mix with blender itself, coz its modelling app) cant be really compared to UE4, coz its just a render engine for fast, pseudo reallistic preview vs full scale game engine but for most tasks its more than enough.

Addons are in python and not in native code, and should be pretty OS-agnostic, but obviously the python binaries are not %1 is mainly used as a batch parameter to start up programs When you drag a file on a program, it basically says "program.exe %1" and fills the %1 variable with the file you dragged on it, many scripts are launched in that manner too, including python What i think with near-certainty, is that you either have a broken python executable somewhere in your path type "path" in command prompt to see what's in it. find the python references, while you're at it type "python" and see if the error shows up there too Or, python is relying on DLL (libraries) that are incompatible, Could be that a 32-bit python exe is trying to import a 64-bit DLL, often the case with this particular error message, should be resolved by removing the bad python exe from the path just the same Id say uninstall all python installs, especially 32-bit ones (and leave them out) and start one fresh, or just let blender use its internal one by not having any python in your path
