Some ideas for your next techniques video (I learned some of these from hard experience): 1) Correct clothing - it's hard to take good photos if cold rain is running down your neck 2) Food and hot drinks - make the patience tolerable 3) Google street view / earth to find new angles before you go 4) A dog - companionship, in photos for scale, and to send for help if you fall off something 5) A phone with a half-decent camera, because sometimes your primary one fails, or the card gets corrupted, and with a phone you haven't wasted a day 6) Spare batteries for everything 7) Someone to call mountain rescue if you don't come back 8) Thin, tin-foil survival banket and a whistle - for until mountain rescue finds you 9) Torch / flashlight - the way down the mountain can take a lot longer if you twist an ankle 10) Mads' ebooks for while you're waiting for the light to change

One of the great benefits from these types of videos is the array of stunning images that you use to back up your commentary Mads and absolutely agree with number 8 and can say to anyone who is thinking about buying your course is to do it as they wont be disappointed. My worry with purchasing a course is I know more than I think I do. I'd love to get it and learn new techniques. But I also worry I'll be like "oh, I already know that". And the reality is, Mads just takes better images than me and editing is the least of my worries 🤣

Mads, I especially liked how you included photos of the same subject but in different weather conditions to show how important atmosphere and lighting are in making a great shot. Maybe do more of that, focusing on how shifting composition slightly makes/breaks a photo, or time of year, or focal length? I think you've done one on shutter speed and water/waves (or was that Nigel...)
@MadsPeterIversen Жыл бұрын
We've both done one and definitely something I try to do if it makes sense and I remember to also take the "bad" photo for comparison ;)

I would love to see how you edited one of those photos including the shoot itself and then taking it into lightroom and how you work on it, I often can take fairly decent images, but its the editing that really sets these photos you guys take that is where i get stuck on

@MadsPeterIversen Жыл бұрын
Considering how much I use the Adobe products, I personally don't mind, but dependent on your camera I'm pretty sure most brands have their own basic RAW editing software. I know Sony and Canon do :)

Im from the uk so can you tell me how much do i pay? it seems like your pricing is set round the Dollor... this is what I see (VAT in United Kingdom US$4) which doesn't indicate uk pounds? thank you
@MadsPeterIversen Жыл бұрын
In the US they don't use VAT, VAT is "value added tax" which is a European thing, the tax differs between European countries and is added on top of the displayed price for European customers. If you pay in GBP it'll just adjust your payment to be equal to 20 USD (price) + 4 USD (tax), which as far as I can see right now is about 19,5 GBP :)
