Hi I Would like to comment about the words Accidently and Came across. You used them back to back and this is what we call redondance ? Which means you used two words to say the same thing because come across means to find something accidentaly. So you should use one or other. Take care Fatiha from Switzerland

Nice verbs ! Most of them show a close connexion with French verbs : scrutinise = scruter (the '=' means a close relation with, and not necessarily the same meaning in both languages), remunerate = rémunérer, nurture = nourrir (cf. nourriture), deteriorate = détériorer, articulate = articuler, embrace = embrasser (holding in your arms), liaise = lier (cf. liaison), accomplish = accomplir. "Hinder" and "grasp" are from another origin, saxon probably. I appreciate when tough English verbs are so close to my native language; learning is easier ! :-)

Dear Harry, Portuguese speakers know most of the verbs you defined because of their Latin origin. I've observed that you Britain speakers use words that Americans don't even realize. Although I love British English, your classes are comprehensive about the English is spoken everywhere, and I love them. Thank you very much. I'm a fan of your channel because I learn a lot from it. Scrutinizing the future hindered my career and the remuneration of my new job. Nurturing my newborns also added up deteriorating my career. During the job interview I articulate myself very well but they didn't embrace me as I expected. At least they liaise with my former employer which helped me to get the job and accomplish my goal. I realize that most of these verbs are relatively easy to learn by Romance Languages speakers becuase they look like verbs that we have in these languages (derived from Latin) with similar meanings. By the way, I accidentaly discovered that the verb "diversion" has a different meaning in English even though it looks like the verb "diversión" in my native language. In Spanish it means "fun" whareas in English it means "detour". Thank you for this video, I found it very helpful to make progress in my English learing.

It's amazing how useful these type of videos are. Like you kinda know everything and yet you cant use them correctly. The examples and explanations make them much more understandable. Bravo on your teaching method. And to my fellow English learners, please please don't forget to use these words when you learn them. I used to just study non-stop and didn't really try to use the words i was learning and while it made my reading/listening comprehension alot better, it didn't do much for my speaking. So i decided to use the new things i learned as much as possible. It's helped me tremendously and the level of my fluency has gone up since. Just try to speak and if you can't articulate your thoughts into words, just google it, learn it, use it, repeat it and then go on.

These days I’m sitting at home and nurturing my third kid, he’s only one, your lessons help me not to hinder in my English, as it’s so easy to loose the level you had and deterioration is inevitable without practice , so every morning I wake up at 5 and study English at least 30 minutes and accomplish it.
