A peacoat is a nice coat 100% wool lovely and warm also stylish with a cable-nit jumper.

I agree the Peacoat is great casual coat/jacket to wear in the colder months an comes in a range of colours, besides the traditional Navy blue. Great choice🙂👍

Agree 100% on boots. I shine and shelf my oxfords Dec - Apr, and switch over to captoe dress boots. Highly recommend Carmina for those in the market. Also, thanks for the tip on wool ties. Gotta look into that.

Great video Chris. I tend to wear a lot of Tweed in the winter and I do wear a tie more because of what you said about keeping your neck warm. I do a lot of shooting and hunting so I do wear my barbours quite a bit and I rotate between flat caps and fedoras. As a kid in the winter time I wore a lot of flannel shirts specially around the house or went out shooting or hunting. The only other thing I would add would be boots. I tend to break out my dress boots and my hunting boots in the winter. Thanks for the video. Best regards Ron

Thanks for sharing Ron and glad you enjoyed the video. I'm glad my muted point on wear a tie wasn't lost as a way of maintaining body heat. The trusted Barbour or Wax Jacket is a countryside staple where I grew up and now live and a good pair of sturdy boots are needed 🙂 Dress boots are great for those occasions when you need that smart rather than casual look, but equally would be great for either - great choices. Thanks for your continued support Ron 👍🙂

Chris, One of my favorite winter garments is the Pendleton Board Shirt. Made from wool, it is very warm. The colors and patterns are constantly changing. Over the years, 20 of them have found a place in my wardrobe. Made to be worn untucked, Pendletons are a classic top of the line over shirt for cold weather. They can be found on line. Look up Pendleton Wool Mills. We Yanks love our Pendletons 👍. Cheers.

Great addition to that casual look, thanks Douglas for the insight into the Pemberton over shirt. Thanks for your continued support and lovely to hear from you again👍🙂

Deerskin gloves are very nice. Thinsulate lining for warmth. Otherwise, as an unlined driving glove. Burburry trenchcoats. Camel hair polo coats. Bring it on. Navy peacoats and/or a long wool toggle coat. Military inspired for warmth.

Great additions William. I love pea coats they are great for casual wear and the duffle coat is another inspired choice, created and used by the US and British Navy. Thinsulate is effective, but I do try to stick to natural fibres if I can, and Dents do a handsewn three-point Cashmere lined pair of deerskin gloves for about £100..Thanks for your comments and great suggestions 👍🙂

Great stuff Chris. Agree re roll necks and I've literally just bought myself a new merino scarf and a newsboy cap for the winter! :-) I much prefer the winter....a chance to wear proper clothes! I noticed a very nice Italian wool, tweed suit in M&S yesterday...sorely tempted! Y

Glad you enjoyed the video 🙂 great choices and I agree with you the cooler months are great for wearing suits, jackets, jumpers and coats - those multiple layers. M&S seem to be going towards a more classical/traditional vibe at the moment, picking up on that current trend in the high street I mentioned a while back, and they have some nice items, so I can see why you might be tempted 🙂 Thanks for your continued support Yoric 👍🙂

Good choice Steve, and I would have included them if I have a top 11, but that wasn't as catchy😆 Glad you are enjoying the channel👍🙂

Great video as always. I would add a British classic, namely tattersall Viyella shirt, which is 80 % cotton and 20% merino wool. These are great for the fall/winter. Are you familiar with them Chris?

Glad you enjoyed the video 🙂 I have in the past worn tattersall shirts, normally 100% brushed cotton 👍 I am aware of the Viyella brand, but I have tried one of there tattersall shirts, especially with 80 % cotton and 20% merino wool, that mix sounds great for winter months. Tell me, what are they like?

@@TheBritishDapper I have one viyellla tattersall shirt in this cotton merino blend. It's vintage, second hand as the new ones are a bit pricey. But as for fabric it havent changed sińce2 the 18th century, although in the past it was 50 %merino 50 % cotton,of course the times were colder, no central eating. It's great, very soft and becauae of the wool it's very wrinkle resistant. It's warmer than a regular brushed cotton shirt but also not to warm. I like to wear it with my harris tweed jacket, jumper qor shawl collar cardigan.
