In Peru, the sound "ping" is used on TV, when someone say a bad word, they put that sound JAJAJA. Thanks for your videos Greg!!

I have said to my native irish friend " I'll ping you on whatss up" and they said don't use ping it's sound strange and he explained to me that native speaker in Ireland won't use that expression never ever. So that's mean idioms and slang don't work the same for each english country🙈

I always though ping coming from this: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ping_(networking_utility) But this wikipedia article says: "The name comes from active sonar terminology that sends a pulse of sound and listens for the echo to detect objects under water". So if I ping you, and you give me a reply I will know you are there, you are available.
