I have almost 50k hours on both ETS2 and ATS combined. And the thing i would want to add is that for the first truck do not take a loan instead earn 130-150k then buy a truck then take a loan to upgrade garage and buy truck for hired drivers. This always gives fruitful endeavours

That's a lot of hours... I've just bought the game (i had played on pirate v1.42) and downloaded truckersmp... It sucks not having all those dlcs (bc im not willing to pay for those too) but the multiplayer is pretty good. However I don't entirely understand how it all works with rules, admins, etc... If you have any advice for noobs on truckersmp let me know.

@@diuco17 i started 2 weeks ago and my advice would be to record EVERYTHING, the admins can and will ban you for the tiniest of offences even if it is lag induced, so keep everything you do on a recording so you have some proof from your end

Quickjobs are better than their reputation. While you get paid more for the same job, when using your own truck, you can (later) often choose better contracts via quickjobs, than those offered at the location, you are staying at. On top of that you dont have to manage sleep between quickjobs. My preferred way is still doing quickjobs in the beginning, until you hit lvl 10-12. There is no xp-penalty on quickjobs and at taht level, you unlock the first sets of stronger engines. With those, you dont have to care about the weight of your freight too much. If i remember right, Volvo would be first choice at lvl 10.

my tip: get the 4+2+3 HCT and start reversing it. available for the whole map you get way more money and esrn some skills in parking

id recommend for beginners to turn of penalties. the thing is you probably arent very skilled yet and you dont earn much at the beginning and then there are cases where you are fined even though its not your fault. so those fines hurt very bad at the beginning, later you can turn them back on to make it more challenging but for beginners these are just discouraging. And to ad something advanced make sure every truck you buy for your staff is at its final version. later as you have more drivers its a hassle changing all these trucks. and dont buy trailers for your drivers, cause they get you less money with it. and the last thing. take as much loan as possible to get more drivers as early as possible

Well. I don't really have one favourite truck brand. In the other hand I prefer the specific models. But I'm trying to play with every truck brand in game (not a specific model!) That's weird.

i do that too. i have 3 garages just filled with trucks for me ( not for drivers), and on each trip i take different truck based on how i feel ( for example, if a drive through france, i will use the Renault T , if i take a heavy cargo, i use scania S or volvo fh and so on )

Still confused about why I should use my own truck. The quick jobs seems better as I don't have to pay for the fuel or damage done to the truck, where as with my truck I do? Unless I'm doing something wrong?

Using your own truck will force you not to be reckless when driving because any damages and traffic offenses will be paid by you.
