Familiar with the Southern California to Phoenix run. If you test it in the summer, running 80mph thru the Mojave, with the air conditioning running..then I will be impressed. There are few spots to charge up out there and if you break down in the summer it is a life threatening emergency.

The price in this list is from 2023 models while the range are from various model years from the video, so hopefully the mileage would be a little bit more efficient with each passing year and software update. 10: 2023 Rivian R1T starts at $73,000 ~317 miles 9: 2023 Tesla Model Y starts at $46,990 ~317 miles 8: 2023 Kia EVs wind starts at $48,500 ~323 miles 7: 2023 Porsche Taycan starts at $86,700 ~323 miles 6: 2023 Mustang Mach-E starts at $45,995 ~344 miles 5: 2023 Tesla Model S Plaid starts at $89,990~345 miles 4: 2023 Tesla Model 3 Long Range starts at $41,630 ~345 miles 3: 2023 BMW iX starts at $84,100 ~377 miles 2: 2023 Mercedes Benz - EQS starts at $105,550 ~422 miles 1: 2023 Lucid Air starts at $87,400 ~505 miles

Why didn’t mention the Tesla Model S Long Range? It only has 670 hp, so it’s 0 to 60 is in three seconds, but it has an EPA rating of 405 miles!

Hi Team - Your video claims that Kia EV6 Wind has a range of 323 miles, however, the website review says that the range was much lower at 261 miles. Which is it?

Narrator has a great voice, I love how she presents the information and would be a great choice for all radio/voice over/audio book recordings. She does a great job with voice inflections and enunciation. plus she just sounds excited about the whole thing. P.S. I also think she is attractive, my comment was just focused on her vocal presentation.

No real interest in EV's but had to say I loved the reviewer, great job. OMG is she single? So funny. Can't wait until the Aptera finally comes out and you can test the 1,000 mile range version.

Not clear what drive modes, wheels, and tires are used in these tests. These can influence range results considerably. Also, not clear what the specific guidelines were for the test: number of miles on secondary roads at what speed and number of miles on limited access highways at what speed.

You can’t drive from L.A. to Arizona, or L.A. to Napa because the vast majority of those miles are strictly on the highway (at 65-70mph)… so without street driving. Your distance will be significantly reduced.

What I love is that the FANTABULOUS, WONDER Teslas perform BELOW the EPA rating, while BMW and Merc perform SUBSTANTIALLY better than the EPA ratings. Just for subjective reference, my buddy's Model 3 PP is now getting an AMAZING 240 miles (rated at 310, right?), whilst my other buddy's Model S Long Range rocks 315 miles (405 rated range). They're both 2022s. Both owners blame the cold Idaho weather. It was 96 yesterday. Cold, my ass. But wait, where is the 200 MPH Plaid, the Roadster, the Cybertruck?? Tesla is nothing more than a PR company. Elon Musk is such a master at PR bullshit, should get hired to rebrand Liz Cheney. She'd probably suddenly become the first person to have gone to Mars, in typical Tesla fashion.

I think you guys are missing the point with EV’s and doing what most main stream media do. The key to EV driving and proven by many especially in Europe is not how long the range is, but more importantly how quick you can do a journey in. This is why range plus charging speed is more relevant. The reason is you can have a car that you can do 377 miles in BMW IX being a good example, but on a 500mile journey you would still have to stop. This is where the range only argument falls down. As to achieve 377miles you would need to drive like a nun. And once you stopped for charging then it will charge at a decent speed. However cars like Porsche Taycan, Kia EV6/Ioniq5will charge way faster and it has been proven on many tests to complete longer journeys much quicker because of the combination of both. Even without the BMW IX not having to stop, you may still find cars with really good range and super fast charging speeds can still be quicker even on the shorter journey. So an EV driver needs to consider both. That comes from an EV driver who has done longer journeys. The same applies to Tesla’s as they are super efficient and charge pretty quickly so they also have best of both worlds.

Next time why don’t you also give the price of each of the vehicles. My guess is your average middle class blue collar worker could never afford the majority of those in the configurations you were showing them. As for the trucks try measuring them doing what trucks were meant to be doing like towing a trailer or camper or boat.
@ronlheureux76232 жыл бұрын
Just want to add that the Rivian PU is not a big old pickup truck “paraphrase”. It’s actually more of a mid-size PU. Not the equivalent of the Lightening or the upcoming E Silverado, etc. it’s not actually a work truck, per se. ,a sport/adventure truck for outdoor adventures.

Well $40,000 would get you Kia.
@markgeezey18092 жыл бұрын
@@TheLifetraveler1 good luck these days with getting to get an EV6 for that price. Maybe the smaller battery and bottom spec which then defeats the range test. People been paying very high prices for the EV6’s especially AWD models and well over MRRP due to huge waiting times. But as an EV6 GT line driver its well worth it.

The title of this video is 10 EVs with the most range…These are the longest range ev’s available. I love the Taycan, however, it’s range is horrible. I can name quite a few more ev’s with longer range…ie Hyundai Ionic 5.

Thank you for doing a video on this topic but unfortunately your reported ranges are fictional. There is no way a Model Y LR will do over 300 miles in real world. From thousands of data collected from owners (i.e. TezLab) and my personal experience as an owner the realistic expectation is 220-240 miles... Your reported ranges are as ridiculous as the EPA estimates. Unless you are driving downhill from Mount Everest during your tests... I know you put a lot of effort in this video but you are providing misleading information to your viewers.
@CrazyWeeMonkey2 жыл бұрын
Their testing is part city and part highway driving which is not very useful but still valuable info for people who may not have access to overnight charging. That's why the figures are so high.

all the ranges reported here are actual mileage we have attained during our real-world range test

Totally useless! I am not rich, so... We need a cost-inclusive range index. Maybe something like dollars per mile per kW. I want a car that has decent range, while costing a reasonable amount. Lucid and Mercedes? I really don't give a f**k.
