Tell me where to put 5 meters cable and if you even have a V-2-L Plug, especially when you have the trunk full? The bZ4x has a poor copy of Peugeot’s dashboard and the steering wheel, but there it fits for smaller drivers and is not made of poor plastics material looking odd. They all three with the same accessories are no competition to the Ioniq 5 or KIA EV6 AWD nor to any Tesla. I even was not convinced of an EQE Mercedes costing more than twice as much with the same equipment on board. Tried also the Ford on my usual test roads and felt not so comfortable on bumpy mountain roads. The Ford is just for American highways a good joice. The Kia‘s setting was done by Alfred Biermann who headed BMW M-Sport for 30 years. The adaptive dampers for example from ZF Sachs are only used by Mercedes AMG and Maserati so far. At quite the same price as a not fully equipped Mach-e the Koreans are another class playing in the league of a Porsche Taycan or the sister model Audi GT e-tron. 😜😎

An expected showing for Toyota, tough. Their products as of late have been poorly designed, not at all innovatove vehicles that it seems they spent the least amount possible developing, that just don't live up to competitors in almost any category. Toyota needs a new leader and not my grandfather who was used to horse carriage’s? Actually the are to much bound into former successes with innovative production for mass produce quality. But how comes that bZ4x (what an idiotic name) and Solterra from Subaru kill their reputation with nasty, unfinished cars loosing their wheels?
@IonorRea Жыл бұрын
Toyota was not keen to start producing BEV so early in the first place, so BZ4X is a little bit forced creation to please green-conscious activists pushing industries to jump on BEV production sooner than manufacturers may seen sensible, so BZ4X was very likely not even intended to sell very well, a compliance car for upholding company's green image once producing hybrids does not seem to be enough at the time when Toyota's bet on hybrids finally starting paying off financially on a large scale as Toyota finally offering most models as matured fuel-efficient hybrids not only during urban driving as was the first Prius. Frankly, I think Toyota would probably did better if offered the newest Prius optionally as a fully electric front-wheel power bias car (perhaps with small optional rear motor) as some manufacturers already doing as such solution would likely still have a better range even with a smaller battery due to less bricky shape of Prius compared BZ4X despite the fact that dual option ICE/BEV cars tend to have slightly lower efficiency than cars purpose builld for a single type of propulsion. This would be more than compensated by better price due to the economy of scale of Pruis production and would likely make Prius far more attractive purchase than currently is in times when a large portion of Toyota production is already offered in a similar powertrain configuration. Also not a big fan of fly-by-wire wheel steering without mechanical connection as I personally experienced el. motor for wheel steer assistance suddenly failing while on the road, which may be a rather unfortunate event in BZ4X without a mechanical connection... As for now, BZ4X is in my opinion just a compliance car as were cars from many manufacturers from a decade ago intended purely to meet California requirements on minimum EV production in order to be eligible sell cars within California, this philosophy to do the bare minimum similarly to compliance cars of the past make BZ4X a hard sell, but again, good sales were likely not even purpose of this vehicle in the first place.

Instead, the video focused on range... which makes no sense whatsoever knowing that VW's production of ID.4 for the United States in the United States uses a 55 kWh battery. That is considerably smaller than the 71.4 kWh battery in bZ4X FWD and 72.8 kWh in bZ4X AWD. Again, real-world results for efficiency were excluded. @ut90J2 жыл бұрын
I think it has a lot to do with past brand reputation. Ford always sells for a lot less. Toyota holds good value. VW is about average resale value. The batteries typically at 10 YO are warrantied to be at 80% or greater of original value. So, think 100 miles new at 10 years it would be 80 miles. I assume it's no different than a combustion powered car. As those age there are more things that can break or go wrong so value goes down with age and miles. These should be the same.

On just how many gallons of non renewable particulate emitting petrol fuels? These cars all only have the total energy capacity onboard to 2-2.5gallons of gas. Gas is listed at 33.7kwhs of total useable energy per gallon. I'd bet your Subaru goes just 15-25% of the range per gallon as any of these can go. 🤔

@@4literv6 The raw materials for making the car have to be mined, and the process of mining creates a lot of greenhouse gases. Then the raw materials have to be refined before they can be used, which again emits more greenhouse gas. Soooo

@UCwygtV34RiWsiZonWuMGvLg same as a gas car then right? What about all that cobalt the fossil fuel industry consumes, are you even intelligent enough to realize they consume the 2nd largest annual amount of cobalt for refining? Or that the mettalurgy industry is the 3rd largest consumer of cobalt? What are most cars made out of oh yeah it's metals. 😀 Then there's the water and electricity used at every refinery just to turn crude oil into barrels of petroleum products that can actually be sold and burned. But wait? We had to find that crude oil right. We had to drill/frack&extract it. All of that used energy and created emissions. Then the crude has to be transported from the wells to those massive refineries. That uses energy to. Once refined those 300#barrels of crude only yield about 33 gallons of various useable products. Those have to be moved again right? Can't just sit at the refinery afterall. So more energy to move them via trains, trucks, massive pipelines or even ships again. All of that is causing more noise heat and particulates from the combustion engines moving it. Plus accidents, deaths, spills etc. Except pipelines of course, those suck down mwhs of electricity to push billions of gallons of different fuels around every country. 👍🏻

The lighter interior is a winner. If you put your 3 vehicle pictures side by side the lighter interior looks bigger and you can actually see all the nooks and crannies. Families do not want all-black interiors where junior can hide disgusting stuff. The jetblack reflecting on your eyes is a glaring example of designer's addiction to black.

But the stupid infotainment trying to be futuristic just damn ruins the whole experience of the car. Not to mention having 2 buttons for the 4 windows that you toggle with a capacitive touch button that gives no feedback. VW was so close to making a good car and then shot themselves in the foot

Been driving our ID4 AWD for 3 months. It's anything but boring. If you feel the RWD is boring you need to try the AWD. Infotainment is slow to start up sometimes, but it really doesn't bother me much once it start working. Also I use Android Auto most the time so it doesn't matter to me. The only time I use factory infotainment is when I adjust the AC or checking on battery etc. Yes, there's A LOT to be desire for this system, especially coming for the easy to use Hyundai system. However, it really doesn't bother me on a daily driving basis. Window control can be annoying if you constantly roll down your window or sit people in the back. Our car usually just sit 1-2 people so it's really not an issue for me. Only rolled down the back window once for the dogs for the 3 months of ownership.

Because you don't understand simple economics. If you did? You'd know over 80% of all new car buyers are homeowners with well into the 6 figures in combined incomes. Which is why the average new car sold without markups this year is over 48k. If you could actually do a total cost analysis competently? You'd also know a 46k tesla model 3 over 60months is even cheaper to own than a Toyota Camry costing 30k. For 2021 the average toyota Corolla sold for more than 31k. 👍🏻
