I bought my early 08 in 2011 with 27k miles and still have it today with 194k miles and no major repairs yet. I have package 1 but also have the cold weather package with cloth seats

I see you are very knowledgeable, and I have a question. I have a 2 door 2008 VW rabbit and I want to replace the seats front and rear. I found a great deal on seats from a 2008 Volkswagen GTI but it’s four-door I’m not too concerned about the front seats but I haven’t really found any information on the rear whether they are interchangeable or not. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

for some historical reasons the US version of 1K1 is also called Variant or Rabbit EU only has the normal names, Jetta Golf Passat etc

@andy bosik can i ask you if you had any troubles with the engine? I heard that 2005 had a axx engine with lots of problems. The 2006 + has bwa engines. What km you bought it and how much u drove it? Im on point to buy one with 125.000 km VW dealer controlled

Just make sure you know what you're getting if you can run a scanner on the car before purchasing and always look at the carfax.

Honestly it all depends on how the previous owner treated the DSG car. I don't know how the Focus turbo is , but they don't instigate my golf lol, they are cute beginner tuner cars that is what Ford was going for don't get me wrong. But for me, Id go with German Engineering.

I heard that, but in the opposite way. I have the mk5 with AXX engine and if you’re using it as a daily and have a havier foot on the gas, you will need to have the heavier wallet every 2-3 months for something.

Technically if you were in Germany at the time of the release but like always this car will always be a 2007 hot hatch of the year by everybody just take a look around KZbin lol. MK4s are from the 90s if you look at the car world with those glasses you are wearing. thank you for the view and cheers.
