On #4 Panning is that only on a system that has atleast a 5.1 Surround system? How do you get front to back panning without a Sourround speaker system or a Head set.

Correct, you won't get front to back on stereo speakers. On a headphone, there's some cool stuff that allows you to hear spatially all around.

Most of the really big things that you heard in the Blackmagic announcement are in studio. There are some that are in the free version, but many are in studio.

i updated the 19.2 version in fairlight bus format , i see only add main busbutton. the option to add sub bus is not there how can i add a sub bus/mix in bus format ,the button for sub bus disappeared. please let me know

Hey! For a few versions, there's just been a 'bus'. It can be anything you'd like - sub/mix bus, aux, etc. So you'd just use the regular add Bus option

@@JasonYadlovski Thank you. that makes total sense. by the way i found that if you go to Project settings > Fairlight > Bussing > Tick the checkbox ,If you have any timeline on the project this option will be dimmed. no timelines should be in the project . by the way you have lot of fans in India. whenever we talk about fairlight your name pops up among indie filmmakers. keep up the good works . stay blessed

No revamp for the course. Everything that’s in it will always remain true when it comes to working with audio, any updates and new features will not change it. The basic methods, tools, how to use them and how to work with your audio will always be the same.

Unrelated, but is there a way to somehow save audio clip's effects as preset? I'm intending to use it in Fairlight to quickly apply needed effects with settings on a clip If that's not the case, is there at least a way to crossfade between clips on SEPARATE tracks? (one track is clear, and another one with effects) I've watched some of your tutorials, and yet it seems this has not been mentioned

When i want to know fairlight, this is the channel i go to... For every DR update, this is my go to channel for fairlight.. The voice isolation is what i needed, but paying only for studio for that feature is high as all my other requirement is met by free version.. i record church sermons but sometimes had to use only camera mic which record lots of fan noise and reverb... So can u suggest any plug in upto US $ 50 for DR which will do the same function as voice isolation ..

Thanks! Clarity VX from waves will do the same thing as voice isolation. I’ve got a video on it and you can usually find it on sale for 29.99 or so.

There will not be any promotions. The price is always $295 USD. Once you buy studio once, you get all of the updates for life.

For 7, it should have a shortcut in my oppinion. control or shift or something + left click on the S icon to solo a track. Going through menus because you have more than 1 solo active and you want to solo only 1 track is an oversight for me.

I second that. With the exception of a single time it froze up on me (which was probably my own fault for throwing around too much data), I've had no issues with it either 👍
