A normal person being poor is completly different to a celeb who claims to be poor or broke. Being poor is when your bank account has £0 in it and you can't afford to pay your rent. Just because a celeb can't live a lavish lifestyle doesn't mean they're poor. They still own flash cars and huge houses. A celeb wants to try being poor for real. I can pretty much garantee they couldn't hack it.

Your comment was over 3 years ago but i know people find it satisfying when questions are answered in comments sections, so: Pam bought the house for $1.8 million and spent $8 mil to make it to her standards over the years she lived there. Because of her financial troubles AND the money she spent to "upgrade" it she put it on the market for $7 million. It didn't sell. So she rented it out for $50,000/month and that brought her enough income to sustain her. It eventually sold $12 Million Aug 4 2021. So she got some money.

Actually, buying houses is the smartest thing they can do. House prices are in the worst cases stable and they can sell it on for what they bought it for. Whereas by renting, your money is slowly draining away. Whats dumb is how much extra they spend on decorating the house and on staff.
@LoliceMe8 жыл бұрын
Buying houses and property might be the smartest thing you can do in the Cayman Islands since they don't have to pay taxes on any of it, but I think people's point was, why buy these super deluxe mansions and homes for millions of dollars when a nice comfortable home for 5 people costs less than $500,000 dollars, sometimes less than $300,000. Just because you have the money, doesn't mean you have to spend it on the most expensive things. And it's not just houses, it's extra expensive cars, extra expensive clothing and jewels, extra expensive jets and airplanes. Not to mention all the staff you have to pay to take care of all these things. If you're going to spend like crazy, definitely get someone who knows how to manage money and will keep a close eye on your finances.

Quick tip to us lower class, start a 401k for starters. Pay bills first and tuck away money into savings. Don't buy stuff you don't need. Don't get a credit card, if you can't afford it, don't buy it. In a crises and need money, that's what your savings are for. What most people do is think about is now. Think about your future. I don't know about you, but when it's my time to retire, I actually want to retire.

The Gary Coleman story really gets to me as one of my best friends (who just died in January of 2017--RIP Stephen) was a good friend of his. They both enjoyed model trains, and I mean extensive, well made, miniatures that are not just kids toys. We sold a few trains for 11,000 for Steve's estate and the one that Gary & Steve worked on was just given to a train museum and was worth about 90,000-10,000. That just always blows me away that they could be worth so much! The sad part of this story is that when Gary would fly into Denver with his wife and manager, they would dump him at Steve's house and go spend his money. Steve stated that Gary was (allegedly) abused and not very happy. Along with his medical issues, he was bullied and used by his manager and wife. I don't want to get into specifics, but what I was told made me cringe. The whole situation was very unfortunate. I totally believe my friend as he was not someone who was disingenuous or dishonest in any way, shape or form. He was just glad that he could make Gary's time in Denver a little better through all the nonsense he had to endure. Also, he enjoyed Gary's company as Gary was knowledgeable in miniature trains.

Gary was a great guy and so nice to me growing up as a kid myself. Always ran into him at Allied Model Trains in Culver City, back when both were around. Now they both are gone. So sad.

Is dat zo? My bank guy once told me how since most fights in a relationship/marriage are about money, it is always better to keep your own bank accounts and open a third account to pay bills, rent, groceries, etc., but i didn't know you don't have to pay her after a divorce if she still has her own bank account. Now i finally understand why my ex-girlfriend got upset after i told her we were not going to put all our money into one account. What a bitch. And her mom too!

+I LOVE NUTMEG :] well not necessarily. even wealthy people who manage their money well, wealth can still be a curse in some ways. none of which were in the same context used in the video tho. things like having family thinking you owe them money just because you have it is extremely common for the wealthy to encounter. mariah carey is going through that right now. other things like people always wanting to leech off of/steal from you is another thing that comes with being wealthy makes it a curse in ways too. people youve always known and trusted turn for the worst. once wealth is acquired is extremely common too. jealousy, eny, backstabbing, etc all come with wealth
