The Lockpicking mechanic in Unity wasn’t just glitchy it’s was straight up broken due to the constant Internet Networking issues that was always plagued with Lag & desync problems.. So Lockpicking was just impossible & just ended up being a lockpick vacuum.

I hear what your saying in this video, friend. But we really should ask this question. Will Ubisoft actually bring back these features? I wouldn't mind seeing most of them return, personally. To me Unity is the title that uses his Historical setting in the worst way possible. You have the fricking French Revolution, one of the bloodiest, most grousome event in modern history, full of plotting, violence and interesting historical figures with multiple interacting opportunities. And instead of taking advantage of all this they decided to center the plot around a boring Romeo and Juliet ripoff. They also never brought Shay back, making Rogue’s ending seem completely pointless.

I agree with most of your list. Two things I'd like returning: - The rope dart: The coolest tool we had in all the games, with many uses. And it's really epic to hang people up on tree branches like a Predator. - The persona system of Liberation: the best social stealth the games had. Would be cool if we could don a simple disguise to blend in instead of having us believe we can blend in a crowd in our outlandish hooded clothes and armor. When I played Odyssey I thought how cool it would be if I could equip all athenian armor pieces, and could walk into enemy camps without being detected by common troops. A video idea: New things to be added to the game. A thing I'd like to see for a long time is weapons having actual function and not just preference. Say a common soldier with very basic armor isn't an issue with any weapons. But an enemy like a brute in AC2, dressed in all plates? Swinging a sword at them should do nothing. How about using weapons that are effective? Say blunt weapons to stun them, and then we can stab them in the eye with the hidden blade. Or use a dagger, that has paired animations that target the weak points at the joints, killing them with several cuts. Enemies with spear could hold you at bay, but use a heavy weapon to knock away or even break their spear, and they are done. Basic arrows only being useful against lightly armored targets, but chainmail or plate armored enemies would need bodkin arrows or needle arrows. Or maybe eaven a heavy war bow that is slower do draw, but powerful enough to pierce armor.

While I admit that sometimes 100% sync objectives are fun to do they are a real pain overall, especially with ones such as not getting hit or detected, destroying ships' weak spots, and killing pairs of guards as you chase a target. They are my least favorite part of Brotherhood and 3, along with what happens with Lucy in Brotherhood. It's still surprising Ubisoft never allowed reattempting failed bonus objectives through checkpoints in the remastered Ezio Trilogy. If they weren't required for 100% sync but rather for earning more money or certain rewards then they would be better.
@rayX983 ай бұрын
In the context of the animus, it made sense to play like how the ancestor did it. It added a challenge to the easy story missions.
@ConnorWiederich-hr4zu2 ай бұрын
@@rayX98 True the 100% sync does follow the animus with how the assassin we play as did his/her missions and it added more challenge to missions. Though it would have been better for Brotherhood and Revelations to allow players to reattempt bonus objectives from checkpoints, AC 3 to not ask for specific things like keeping 40 or 50 meters from a fleeing target, and missions not offering too small windows to do missions such as Black Bart’s Gambit in Black Flag asking to not get seen for the entire mission while also killing the ship captain at the end with a rope swing or a couple of the tomb missions in Brotherhood requiring getting through the missions in 8 minutes. Sometimes bonus objectives are fun and make missions more challenges and other times they can ask for too much or feel unclear.

From Unity, side content that makes the player think. That game has the Nostradamus Riddles and Paris Mysteries, where you the player need to work out what resources in-game to examine and how they lead to a solution. It feels more like a treasure hunt when you aren’t making a beeline to a quest marker. It’s more satisfying when you’ve picked out the pieces and fit them together from your own working. Odyssey does do this for which Spartan king is the cult member, and I think a mission in Legacy of the First Blade does too, but this type of content is more the outlier than the norm.

I agree with most of this list... because I didn't start playing the series until Black Flag, quite a few of these older features from Assassin's Creed III or before, I've never tried, and they sound like exactly what the franchise needs to get back to its "true roots" and move away from the large scale open world RPG format it became known as with Odyssey and Valhalla.

2:47 I'd add to that. Not just a Manual Jump. Instead I'd say Remove All Automatic Parkour features. They always result in getting stuck on something while trying to walk around it. Instead have a Manual Jump that Always jumps the same height and length Every Time. Auto is unpredictable. The exact same input in the exact same place can jump from one building to another, or to a lower part of the same building, or off the building. The exact same input in the exact same place can go up to a window or to the left around it. The exact same input in the exact same place can leap to your death or onto a wall behind you.

I would also make the hidden blade do the same as a /kill console command. It kills everyone you use it on, regardless of their health. All balanced out by the requirement of getting close to them, or jumping into a place where other enemies can spot you. I'd combine it with a really low health bar for the player, to make good combat performance impressive, but more importantly incentivise stealth when you can't tank hits.

Variety in environments, from buildings to mountains, and seas to rivers; and finally 5. 333 years of colonization could give us time for both the Assassins and the Templars to set their roots down, might even have enough historical playground to set a new trilogy there.

I know it’s been months since this video, but now that I’ve seen it, I couldn’t ignore one point: the lack of historical events. I understand that ‘Odyssey’ might seem to have fewer historical elements due to some ‘generic’ missions, but that game is FULL of battles and historical characters. Perhaps they don’t feel as significant because it’s extremely extensive. A Spanish historian on KZbin, Miguel de Lys, analyzes the historical aspects of each ‘Assassin’s Creed’ game and mentions a great number of historical events in Odyssey. Similarly, in ‘Origins,’ although there are fewer events, most of them involve Cleopatra.

The one feature that i REALLY want to return, is the Assassin Recruits That feature (to me at least) makes Brotherhood, Revelations, and 3 even better games than they already are. It may make the game too easy, but i just want to fight alongside my allies during free roam and some missions too And hot take: i actually really liked AC3's recruits and how the they are actually fixed characters that each of them have their own unique abilities and stories. I have to admit though, even their design is great for blending in plain sight, i kinda want to see them in Assassin Robes too (maybe being able to customize their clothing to wear assassin outfit or citizen clothing would be great)

and how we can get this video in ubisoft line vision?
@TheHiddenOne69011 ай бұрын
It's simple, you don't. Ubisoft are blind to seeing videos that suggest improvements

I would like to be able beat up enemies with brooms again. Also the spear throw was awesome

Imagine a storyline that reveals that Hydra is an offshoot of the Templars. MCU and AC could be part of the same world.

How do you see the old/new Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag remake yourself, was it really necessary...?😑
@TheHiddenOne69011 ай бұрын
I love it. I think AC1/AC2 and black flag are worth remakes

Black Flag doesn’t need a remake. It plays very well in 2024 and is available on every current gaming platform including the Switch. Ubisoft doesn’t need to do a Naughty Dog and remake/remaster something that still holds up very well. Remake the first game, that hasn’t seen a new release since the PC port, and isn’t playable on modern PlayStation hardware. The gameplay hasn’t aged the best, although it’s far from unplayable, and it’s the perfect opportunity to do a Bloodlines remake too to package with the game or include as a DLC.

It's sad that Rouge was the last AC game were you could pull out your hidden blades and walk around with them

Better lip syncing and better animations is one thing I'd like. Ubisoft did pretty well with avatars facial animation but assassins creed facial animations have got worse

Honestly, if they just took away the health bars and brought back the freeflow combat, the last few games would have been less frustrating. The only games that did healthbars in a somewhat tolerable way were the Ezio games, III, and Unity.

I hate pressing a button to lock on enemies. When I get into combat locking on to enemies should be automatic like the old games.

An improved version of Unity's gear / outfit customisation would be dope

I’ve played AC ever since the first game came out and fell in love. And while the Ezio trilogy is fantastic, and I’ve played and loved in its own way every AC game since then, but I actually do like AC Odyssey - A LOT!! Valhalla had its issues, but Odyssey is my favorite. This is probably because I love mythology and it was fun to immerse myself in ancient Greece. While I do love the Templars vs Assassins storyline, I didn’t mind the Cult of Kosmos as this was the most ancient AC game so far, so those organizations weren’t established yet. I didn’t mind the gameplay. I guess I got used to the open world parkour like in other modern games, so the transition seemed smooth to me. Yes, more elaborate and puzzled tombs or chases would be nice, as well as more historically accurate events, but Odyssey was very well done IMO. A perfect game? No, but it’s up there.

Honorable Mention: Being an actual assassin in a brotherhood, not some guy that occasionally helps them
