Got these thinking they were the slightly larger Panfish floats kzbin.infoUgkx_rJB7cli5f1ofPVGgn80S7Yj4vqwq0gU they work just fine. The smaller size lets me carry more in my tackle box, and the 3 color choices are nice for different lighting conditions, backgrounds, etc. They aren't the most durable things in the world. But, as cheap as they are, it's not heartbreaking to lose one or have to replace a worn one. The price on these fluctuates wildly, from about $9 to almost $16. So, time your buy accordingly.

I save my empty line spools to put used line back on. Pick out a spade bit that fits snug in the center hole and wind it off with the drill just like you did with the dowel.

Same here, and its easier to recycle braid, I xfer the line twice and use the good braid that never sees action, cuts the price in half

A little late but ... Love your vids. For a line remover, you can take a plastic soda bottle cap or Gatorade cap and drill a hole in the middle of it. Screw in a 1/4'- 3/8" bolt with the bolt threads pointing out of the top of the cap. tighten on a nut and stick the bolt shaft in your drill. Screw on an old plastic bottle, tie your line to the bottle, and strip the line off of your reel. The larger diameter bottle makes it go fast. When done throw away or recycle the bottle with the line on it and use another bottle next time. Free if you have the bolt, and reusable forever.

Love ALL your videos; even though i’m a hardcore saltwater fisherman! I got a quick hack for you to try out...to wash off the fish smell I use 2 types of soap just as a dry rub with no water when I get to the car...but at home in the bathroom get a bit of soap, shampoo, conditioner, bodywash...i use whatever is in squirt bottles - works like a charm! Thank you for making these videos!

I preciate you! The hacks are indeed awsome and I like your delivery. Wish I knew of you 25 years ago when I was serious into fishing. Fact is this video may be just what I needed to get on back to it. My motto was when fishing " if I happen to catch some fish it's a bonus". Just being out on the water away from all the bs is worth the price of admission! Hats off to you for a video well done!

You should start back fishing I have it up for about 15 years or so . . I fished all the time when I was young then stopped when I had babies to raise . But I eventually got back nto it . I'm editing another Hack video now believe it or not lol . I'll be posting it ta day our tomorrow lol

Lately we've been taking g a small roll of garden wire with us and securing small smooth rocks with it for weights. For riverbank fishing it beats leaving a pound of lead on the bottom each time out. We also fish from a canoe so while waiting for bites when shore fishing we wrap some stones to keep ready for using walleye rigs from the canoe.

Larry Johns; saw your hack on respooling your reel using a dowel, which is good , but if you use an old medicine bottle , drill a 1/4 inch hole in the lid insert 1/4 pan head bolt and nut - tighten - run in drill , when full remove and drop the whole thing in a Fishing line recycle ben at fishing store , Hey ! It's all plastic . Thank you ! Really Enjoy your Channel .My Favorite ..😁👍

VERY informative video, that was great! I like #8. We go to the Dollar Store and buy packs of small glow sticks, about 3 or 4 inches long, then use small zip ties to attach them to the rod tips. They're cheap, easy, and each one lasts for hours. Usually, one a night per rod will do ya.

It's also a great way to help a plant with root rot. Any disease that staves the roots of oxygen will die from hydrogen peroxide applied to the roots and the extra oxygen will bring the plant back to life. Also good for hydroponic reservoirs.

Comment/question> About the glow in the dark rod tips. Back in the day, you could buy small battery operated flashlight with a mini black light. STREN line used to glow in the black light so if you had your light on at night, you could see the line. I have not night fished for years so I don't know if this is still true or not. Plus the orange poles you had show also glow pretty good under a black light. Used to use little , what we called jingle bells and attach to the pole.

My grandfather use to drill a small hole threw old corks like that. Then he put a wooden Skewer threw the middle of it. He could tie his fishing line to the Skewer. I have some of them in his old Tackle box that my grandmother give me after he past away. Back in his day, they used corks for whisky bottles. That's where got his. My grand father was big on fishing and even made his own fly hooks.

Ordinary white vinegar gets rid of fish smell, too. Keep a small spray bottle of it handy and it works really well.

Great as always .I started making bobbers using the cheap ? white ping pong balls that Academy sports sells (50 at $12) and coffee stirrers from Walmart (100 for $2-$3) just use a small drill bit the size if the stirrer drill straight through both sides , try to keep it straight, and slip the stirrer through the pong ball and super glue jell on both sides. You can make 2 bobbers with one stirrer( cut the stirrer in half). Thanks and keep up the good work.

Go ahead brother, that's what we're all here for ,to share and learn. I've also experimented using soda bottle tops of different colors and super gluing them together (open ends) and let dry then drill a hole and put the stirrers through it and finish by super gluing the straws in. Yes I loose a lot of bobbers fishing from the bank, And again thanks for all you do and I'm honored that you'd ask to use my idea, Thanks.

Hey like your hacks . I fish only at night for slab crappie in Tennessee , several months ago I tried painting my rod tips with glow in the dark paint after sanding them a little with a brush. It lead to uneven coverage, tried some expensive spray paint also with ok results. But then I came up with an idea so I got a piece of 1 inch PVC pipe and a cap for it about a foot long then I put a screw cap on the other end , put the paint in the pipe and dipped the rod tips in the pipe, had six painted in 5min. Let dry then reopen the eyelets by using a nail. Worked great with good heavy coverage and a green glow. Just thought I would throw that out there. Like your video on planner boards .. keepem coming

You can wash your hands with tomato juice also, it'll take the stank off your hands. If your dog gets sprayed by a skunk, you can pour tomato juice on it and scrub it down good then rinse her off.
