What I love about your videos is that you present your ideas in a straightforward manner, no silliness or yelling or filler words. In addition to your presentation, I appreciate that you don’t play loud obnoxious music during your video, especially when you are talking. Thank-you for sharing another informative video. Addendum: I just turned a BUNCH of stale bread into croutons using your recipe 😊

I love these ideas! I have a mostly empty jar of peanut butter that I was dreading washing out to recycle. Same thing with my mostly empty mustard container. A little tip for the bread sticks, is to mix any dry ingredients in a small bowl or container ( like an old parm cheese container) then sprinkle on the bread and oil. This gives a much easier and better even coating . 🥰🌱🌿🌷💐☔💗✝Happy Easter!🥰🌱🌿🌷💐☔💗✝

Thanks for the great ideas. I never thought about saving pickle juice and making pickled vegetables with it. I was surprised to find out that she added a tablespoon of bacon grease to her recipe!

If they could come up with broccoli that was all stem I would be HAPPY! The stems have much better flavor and texture than the florets. We steam them. All veggie "leftovers" and such get fed to our chickens.

Yay to the broccoli stem lovers! I will never understand why many people don't like them and why stores routinely cut them off before selling. I was living overseas (in Turkey) and convinced a greengrocer to save all the stems for me. He thought I was an eccentric foreigner, but when I took him some marinated broccoli, he was converted.

I met a Hungarian lady last week who told me her family back home are STARVING. She visited them and asked the butcher for three kg of chicken thighs, and they asked her three times if that's what she meant, because the largest families only buy TWO thighs at a time. And the grocery store had no oranges, so they said they could order some in for her, but only if she paid for them beforehand, so they wouldn't get stuck with them, because no one could afford them. I'm in Australia and take for granted how great we've got it. Thank you for these tips, to be less wasteful.

Broccoli "fries" - love it! And will definitely try it. With the pandemic, we learned more thorough ways to eat our veggies - including chopping up the broccoli stems and cauliflower leaves for delicious veggies, washed veggie peelings makes great tasty and nutritious broth. 🌮🌮🌮🌮🌮🌮🌮🌮🌮🌮🌮🌮 I had a jar of cumin powder in my spice rack FOREVER. I hate waste but the little sprinkling I was doing once in a while was not putting a dent in it fast enough. But then I remembered that it is the main seasoning in Tex-Mex meals. So I did a search on homemade taco seasoning (that I would have bought in the grocery store anyway), and, Ole', I used it up quickly!

When you open cans of stuff, gently rinse the savory innards into the pot using liquid prescribed to go into the recipe. When draining canned fruit, save the juice for a refreshing drink. I used broth to rinse the tomato cans into the chili that called for both just a few weeks ago. I adore the fresh pineapple juice from the can when I open them up. ❤

If you go through a lot of bananas and you have a container garden outside, the banana peels can be put right in the dirt. Just dig a little hole in the dirt inside your container and bury the banana peel...this will work nicely for most veggies and many flowers.

When adding coffee to a cake mix, say, instead of water that it may ask for, you could also fuse the water or that coffee with powdered milk...IF, whole milk that is powdered You may have to go to the resection and get Nido or Kinder made by Nestlé, usually marketed in Spanish-speaking countries. Walmart, Kroger, and WinCo all have it as well as any local Mexican food stores you may have in your area. It's whole milk and it has vitamins and minerals added one or both have sugar added or maybe corn syrup solids? I always keep powdered milk around in one form or another to change the taste of gravy mixes which always seem to be too salty. I may also add more flour to them or cornstarch or both, as well as the powdered milk empowered milk can sometimes be the only ingredient in your whole kitchen full of various flavors powders seasonings and sauce mixes that can make a soup taste way better than it does right now when it got you thinking about adding something else or wondering what it was missing!
