Thank you so much Dr. Diana great information! I’ve been able to control my RA for 20 years by eliminating many foods. Recently I had the worst flare up of my life! After I had to take two very strong antibiotics for a bowel infection. But the flare up wouldn’t go away. I tried a plant based only diet but got very very weak! So I added chicken breast and fish and felt much better. But still I was having a flare up. Avoiding sugar, gluten, dairy, Beef and all the rest that usually give me more inflammation and pain. Then someone’s comment on a video when I was doing research solved the mystery- it was my favorite Collagen Supplement from Vital Proteins made from Beef! I didn’t realize how strict I had to be about having absolutely NO BEEF PROTEIN! Wow big break through for me when I stopped the beef collagen the pain and inflammation started going away! You have great videos I have been watching many of them and you always have so many helpful facts. I also wanted to mention that over the years I’ve noticed when I’m gaining weight I have lots of pain and when I’m losing weight, no matter the diet, there’s no pain or very little pain. So I always take that into the equation when I’m trying to figure out what caused a flare up. And when I’m eating healthy and staying at a low weight no pain. 😊

Hang in there buddy! I know your pain. Before I was diagnosed I was considering ending my life. The pain was incredible. The side effect to the pain was getting very little sleep. You can’t be in pain 24/7, and only having a few hours of sleep per week. See a rheumatologist, follow their instructions. I do find that this diet has helped a bit.

Good Veedo...oops, Video! 😅 Anyhow I wish to say something EXTREMELY IMPORTANT. Patients with RA (Rheumatoid Arthritis) must increase their intake of PROBIOTICS. This is a crucial addition to the PREBIOTICS that you discussed in this video. Kefir is a great one, and Kombucha. Korean Kimchi and German Sauerkraut are similar in effect. The goal is to dramatically improve the health of the Intestinal MICROBIOME. We make our own probiotics at home. We gave them to a friend with fairly severe RA, and in 2 weeks she was dramatically improved. We did teach her how to maintain the culture and keep it going. Just one shot of a probiotic won't do it.

I really appreciate your input! It’s wonderful to see viewers sharing their experiences and knowledge. Your friend's improvement is inspiring, and I’m sure it will encourage others to explore probiotics!

I have suffered my entire life with rheumatoid diseases/ I had rheumatic fever at age 4 with obvious signs in the 1950's through 1970's. It's a long frustrating journey. I had to wait until I had no more tears for a doctor at Denver's University Hospital diagnosed Sjogren's and possibly Lupus in 1991. I had to be very, very ill to finally get help. As time rolled along, rheumatoid arthritis was added to the list. I do not have systemic lupus but rather of the skin. At age 73 I am in a lot of pain and have gone through all the classes of treatments that either had a very bad reaction to no help at all. Pain killers cause my liver enzymes to elevate. Keeping beef to one day a week has caused a low iron count and my internist said beef is the only way to help. I have always been a tomato fan but recently, I can't stand it. I knew of the nightshade theory but have been very leery of these health trends that are as frustrating as the medicine dance. I do have known food allergies so these nutritional requirements reduce foods even further. Too bad I have to eat. At this point in my life, I just want to go home to Jesus.

@remaeburney832 Жыл бұрын
I have Sjogrens and osteoarthritis. I was only 54 years old when I had to retire. Change your diet. Cut out the gluten, sugar, dairy, etc. Fish oil, tumeric and ginger, really do help. One step at a time. I am now 64 years old. Today, after surviving Spinal Meningitis, my rheumatologist told me that I didn't have to take the immunosuppressant drug Arava anymore. The Arava, lowered my immunity so much that I could not fight off a head cold. It turned into Spinal Meningitis. That healthy diet and supplements saved my life. Eat the fish and spinach and berries. Learn how to bake with gluten free flour if you are a cookie monster like me.😅 This works. It really does.

Thanks for the great information. I know there is debate about consuming milk, but can I drink lactose free milk or would that be worst as well? I want to know about 0% sugar maple syrup as well if I can have that or not?

I'm glad you found the information helpful! Lactose-free milk can be a good alternative if you have lactose intolerance. As for 0% sugar maple syrup, it's a better option compared to regular syrup with added sugars.

So, basically, low-carb & keto diets are good for helping decrease inflammation. After starting keto, ALL of my MANY autoimmune diseases were almost non-existent. I highly recommend it!🙌🏼💯✅

May be try eating food suitable for your blood group. One man's meat is another man's poison.
