Hawaiian pizza was created by a Greek immigrant that started the Satellite Restaurant in Chatham, Ontario. About a 3.5 hour drive southwest of Toronto.

Fun video, thanks for spreading the news about how my town is a great city for foodies. You guys only scratched the surface, I kept saying to myself "what about there? Right down the street" but you did find some great spots and a couple I didn't know about too. Coming in the summer was wise!

Did you visit the bottom floor of the St Lawrence Market? The mustard in the peameal sandwich was made by Kozlik’s - it’s a family run business specializing in high quality mustard. There is a Kozlik’s booth in the market. If you visit late August/ early September the noise from the jets was likely pilots practicing for the Canadian National Exhibition (CNE) airshow. ✈️The CNE is worth attending at least once.

Oh my gosh ... you made it to my home city of Toronto!!! 🇨🇦 ❤😊 Sounds like you visited in August during the Airshow? 😲 You did very well on your first visit during a walking tour. Next time, I recommend you hit The Danforth for Greek food and Kensington Market for many cool smaller spots. Also, you may already know that Toronto has a very good steak game. Barberian's, Hy's, The Butcher Chef, and of course, Jacob's & Co., are worthy of your reviews! Hope you come back soon!

How long were you in Toronto for? It took me some time to get used to your very condensed style videos, but they work. It certainly sets these videos apart from a lot of other travel videos. Hopefully you will have some longer Toronto videos to come. Btw the ice cream shop I recommended before is RURU BAKED. It is focused on unique flavours with high quality ingredients - not instagrammable desserts like BANG BANG.

@12:02 are those typical prices? $32 for a 16" pepperoni pizza or $27 for cheese?!?
@NicholasMoreau8 күн бұрын
For that restaurant, sure, being trendy. But Pizzaiolo, a Toronto-based chain with better options, a large pepperoni is $17.49, and at Pizza Pizza, a Toronto-based chain everybody knocks yet it's got more locations than ever 51 years in, it's two mediums, four pops for $22. But yeah, the place they went having a line like that, I'm not surprised about the price.

Actually Toronto is the most diverse city in the world by ethnicity count. Also, Kristin pronounced Toronto properly - no second T. You should've tried the Trini roti, that's what Toronto is famous for. The Indian roti isn't really good in my opinion. Next time you're in Toronto try Nom Nom Nom Poutine, that is the best in the city.
@travelfuller9 күн бұрын
Thanks for all the info! We didn’t see Trini roti when we were searching but we’ll be sure to try both of those next time

She’s right that Toronto is the multicultural city in the world - named by the UN at least twice. Roti Mahal is delicious - it’s a different style from Caribbean roti.
@travelfuller9 күн бұрын
@@skatingcanuck9837 we were originally going to try both and compare the two but this was a lot to do in a day!
@pauly54188 күн бұрын
@@travelfuller Trini roti. The West Indian or Caribbean type roti which you didn't get a chance to try yet comes from Trinidad. The East Indian roti normally just refers to the flatbread, but the roti that you had at Roti Mahal is actually kind of a fusion, taking the West Indian idea of a roti and using all East Indian ingredients. This is a local creation. You won't find this in India or elsewhere.
@NicholasMoreau8 күн бұрын
@@travelfuller Heads up, though, you're indeed pronouncing Toronto correctly. The "don't pronounce the second t" thing is nonsense, created only in the last decade or so.
