When making lens adaptors, how to know the depth of it? And how to make the screw mount fit exactly? Thanks!
@samsen2017 жыл бұрын
Very ingenuitive. That "Lens cap holder" in camera base and memory holder are my favorites but the 3D picture can make you really rich, if used with correct marketing technique and benefit of right location to sell.

Quick release clamps for a camera tripod. There are tons of old tripods out there that are missing quick release clamps, and therefore can't be used. Find out which ones they are, and get the quick release clamps, and you can print and sell them on ebay. I got an old solid tripod from a flea market for dirt cheap that didn't have one and had to spend time making one out of a block of wood, it would have been easier if I could just buy one online. The tripod? Davis and Sanford Magnum, with an FX13 or FX12 head. You can't get release clamps for those.

How do you design/make a good working lens hood? I have a 3D printer, but I have no idea where to start to make a good fitting lens hood. I have wanted to make a square one like the one in your video.
@MathieuStern6 жыл бұрын
you need to check the kind of hood who was originally sold with the lens you have

Thank you for teaching so much....My desire is to adapt a modern (2020) manual focus lens to an old camera, such as a mamiya c33, the reason is that modern lenses bring less chromatic aberration, or in other words, the glass is clearer and gives more focus ... Is this possible ... some tutorial that you could help me ... Thanks ...

Of topic the nokia 1020 it has 38 mp. Can you build a camera from it that can use lenses. Focus it off and resolution slight off on it.

Try plastic jar caps, some of those will fit your lens great. You can also go to dollar store and get those foam can holders to keep your lens in, they protect your whole lens and lens body.

I wouldn't trust a 3D printed lens adapter. The way the layers are stacked, it would be too fragile to support a lens when attaching it to a camera.

Hi Mathieu, do you happen to know a way to make a focusing ring for fixed focus Summaron 35mm f2,8 that usually comes with Leica MDa? I wish to salvage the lens for use but can't seem to find the measurement anywhere online.

It really depends on what filament you use PLA filament can withstand up to 60C 140F And you have ABS filament up to 105C 221F But to print ABS you do need a good printer that can print ABS in that temp

well each of this object cost less than 5 cents of filament to make ... so the total cost should be around 1 or 2 euros for the 10 objects.

None of them are useful.. It's really cool that you can 3D print something, but frankly, there is no point in getting any of these if a photographer already has a decent setup. Also, how are Litophanes a gadget? That's more like a finished product.. Pretty cool, but not a gadget.
