Love the pup. Looks like some cool stuff to out there. I would like to check out the mine place. I think that would be cool. I will wait for good food. 45 min is no issue. That would be cool to see part of the wall. Wow I can remember being a kid and that happening. I was young but dating a girl from Germany. It was amazing to see the great impact on her family. Hey a gun shop. Right up my ally. lol. I don't even hardly shot anymore but use to collect. Cool stuff. Thanks for the share. Never been to SD, but would like to do them all when there.

These are definitely some good things to add to your list when y'all get to SD. It's definitely worth the drive up there!

We LOVE free stuff! Lou always looks up what to do in the areas that we visit that is free. Loved the statues of the President. Loved even more the hat, gloves & scarf idea. Awesome Info. Lou & Angie

We were visiting Rapid City last year and I had the Chapel in the Hills on my list but we ran out of time before we made it there. I really hope to see it on our next trip. We usually spend most of our time around Custer State Park and in that area but it’s nice to see some fun things to do in Rapid. City as well. Thanks for the video.

There are so many things to do in Custer State Park that I can imagine spending all my time there too... Chapel in the Hills is a wonderful place, so hopefully you can get there one day! Thanks for watching!!

I'm glad. I know this is really late after you posted, but we are picking our channel back up in January with new videos. I hope you had a great time in Rapid City. It's a great place to be!

I remember some of your videos for these places. That's a great list of free things to do and love that you have video to go with most of them. I love the art scene, and some of those graffiti artists really are very talented. Thanks for sharing. Debbie - BluWave Odyssey

I love Art Alley also because it's constantly changing... you can go there multiple times and it's different all the time. I've never actually seen anyone there working on the art, but that would be really cool! Have a great weekend!

I like your dog - it's very sweet and laid back. Starting in the early 70's, I have been to Dinosaur Park, the geology place, and Chapel in the Hills. I have bumped into parts of the Berlin Wall in so many areas of the US since the 90's that I am beginning to think it's stalking me, lol.

Haha... I'm pretty sure that each state has part of the wall... that would be a cool challenge to go around and find all the pieces throughout the country! :). The dog is extremely laid back when I'm holding him... otherwise, he sits on the floor and whines! He's really spoiled! -Amanda

@@WanderLost I’ve been in Rapid for the last couple weeks, and will be here for a few more. It’s sad to see what “2020” has done to this place. The interior part of the Air and Space museum is closed, the gift shop is apparently permanently closed, and the tours of the base are gone. A volunteer let us inside for the restroom. He was busy locking framed photos and other displays down because visitors were stealing so much when the inside was open. I think he said 3 gauges out of the instrument cluster in an exhibit cockpit in one day! Someone went in there with a screwdriver and a plan. Ridiculous. Also, I’ve been coming to the area yearly for several years, and the overall vibe has gotten ugly since 2020 in my opinion. The influx of west coast “refugees” and the hatred of them from locals is apparent. A general dislike of tourists is apparent as well. I’m guessing because the “refugees” have a superiority complex. Traffic used to be a breeze even when it was bad. Now it’s no fun. I had a local downtown ready to tear my head off because of the way a van I was standing next to was poorly parked. When I told him it wasn’t mine, even that seemed to anger him. It’s sad to see. I used to love this place. Btw, I lived here as a kid.

@@saxon840 Oh, that's awful! My friends still live there, but I haven't asked about the situation recently. My daughter is getting married and she and her husband wanted to move back there because she loved it up there so much. That's so sad to hear. We loved our time there and I want to go back and visit. I'm sorry about your experiences there.

@@WanderLost congratulations to your daughter! You guys live in Montgomery/Maxwell now right? It’s kind of funny, because I used to watch your videos to see what was going on in S.D., and I actually live 1.5 hours from Montgomery. Now I’m temporarily out here and you all are there, lol.
