Taigam with Adventure spells is rather cool. When they're cast on the rebound you can actually cast them as creatures.

My fun deck idea I built recently (Gylwain The Casting Director) as my commander and all of my green, white and red “legendary” humans, dwarves, and elves. Used all of my land destruction spells, an aggravated assault enchantment, lots of copy sorcery spells, or return an instant/sorcery card from my graveyard. The gravy was using the hex proof and indestructible spells/enchantments to fill in the rest to protect my creatures. Forgot to mention with the Gylwain you can make your creatures have the scry ability so in a way it’s like tutoring for cards when you scry 16 some times in a row. Built it wrong I didn’t know I need a commander with all color identities (makes sense) commander is new to me but the deck still holds solid

I strongly considered using the giant as the commander for my bant burn decklist because of the ability to turn an opponent's creature into something I can bee sting off the board, but I went with the lifegain into card draw option instead for slightly more reliable gassing. Both options are quite solid though.

You've got some fun ideas here for sure! I like how you grade them on three different things. Of course these are subjective, but it at least demonstrates what the deck is about and how it functions a little better than just showing some cards. They're all at least moderately powerful, creative and fun, but some excel more in other areas. Good video! I definitely like to build prioritizing creativity and fun, while still keeping things powerful enough to win.

I can't help thinking artifact creatures for Hamza is a bit of a faux pas. Sure it's effective, but it comes off as just trying to ape Animar. Why not lean into the ONE thing Hamza has that Animar doesn't... access to WHITE. How about cheating in some massive angels? Could do warriors or soldiers (LOTS w/ access to G and W). How about hydras? Those scale and come with their counters. Could even do elephants (which tend to be on the more expensive side). Not to mention Hamza himself gives you an excuse to run Elephant Graveyard (Just proxy it. It's expensive on account of being from Arabian Nights.... not because it's doing anything even vaguely busted.).

I like the Taigam idea! Only question is, can you blink him before damage in order to remove him from combat, while also granting yourself the rebound trigger? I also just built a Taigam deck, but I built it around instant and sorcery token creation and every polymorph spell I could fit. Then creatures like hullbreacher and moon shaker to finish it off :)

I just last month built a deck with Taigam. I had a lot of instants and sorceries laying around that generate tokens, so I've made a spell slinger token deck out of him. Works pretty well, a bit vulnerable when it comes to board wipes though. I did discover one little gem while building though - Summon the School. With rebound it becomes it's own relearn built in :) If you want UW flicker, you can just go Brago right? :P

Didnt go the full battlecruiser route with storvald? Giving your dudes ward three is something that most cards werent balanced for and so having your opponent spend at least four mana to target your big beefy beaters (do keep in mind you are in the best control colours) and it soon becomes real easy to just steamroll your opponents.

For your Ever Changing Dane idea, might I suggest running Dreams of the Dead with a side of blinking? Dreams of the Dead is a VERY efficient way to bring back all your sacced creatures and a bit of blink/flicker can remove that nasty downside it comes with. Dreams of the Dead: 3W Enchantment 1U: Take target white or black creature from your graveyard and put it directly into play as though it were just summoned. That creature now requires an additional Cumulative Upkeep: 2. If the creature leaves play, remove it from the game. A copy will run about $.15.

@@NicksLotus Note that it doesn't say 'non-blue'. It won't work on mono blue creatures but it WILL work on blue creatures that are ALSO black or white.

Does that work ? The card says "if the creature leaves play, remove it from the game", so as you exile them for the bounce effect, they get exiled by the field of the dead effect. Can the bounce effect still bring them back despite that ?

@@GrosBoulet Yes. When you blink or flicker something, you are temporarily exiling it. Temporary exile is still exile. In short when you blink or flicker something Dreams of the Dead will attempt to exile it and see that it is ALREADY in exile. The blink/flicker effect then brings it back. It then comes back as a NEW object. If something leaves and reenters the battlefield the game will register it as a new object and will only have the text that is printed on the physical card. P.S. In game the term 'bounce' refers to any effect that moves an object from the field back to hand and will NOT work with Dreams of the Dead.

Hamza is fun precisely BECAUSE he DOESN'T 'pop off' out of nowhere. He doesn't have any built in protection and you need at least SOME number of creatures with counters on board before he can really get going. He plays by Queensbury Rules, you know. Not like that cheating Animar who does essentially everything on his lonesome AND has the utter gall to have built in protection from the best removal.

Honest Feedback? I hate those ideas. I might get completely destroyed after that comment, but it's actually an honest feedback to help this channel grow. In my opinion, a lot of those commanders actually have way more interesting themes where you can build around, that said, the creativity level also seems kind of not fitting at all. Saffy Chains gets an A-Rank, while this is basically the only idea you can build saffy decks around..thats basically his average edhrec deck. Same with Storvald, Halfdane.. A much more interesting idea in my eyes would be something like halfdane grandeur. Where you try to get a copy of a grandeur card with halfdane or other clones, sacrifice the original (Halfdane does both - sometimes dont needed because legendary rule) and then get the original back in hand through oversold cemetary/tortured existence/phyrexian reclamation. Supplant Form can be like the best card in the deck.. THAT would be creative and interesting. As well as Esper giving you the arguably three best grandeur cards Or Taigam Ojutai Master Voltron, to make sure he gets in every turn and with buff spells...just something that isnt the normal average deck. That said, I like the Rakdos Treasure Theme, also fitting to Rakdos to get the Pips paid, which are not free due to his ability. I like your videos in general. I just think making like 3 interesting ideas with more thought put into it makes it much more interesting than 10 with existing, known ideas. I see where your coming from , but ive also got some "these look fun" and "this is what commander is about for me" comments , so the data pool is a bit confusing atm. Also that was kinda the idea of the video was to just get some people to want to build some new decks, and most people dont just look through edh rec and every legendary that exist. (although I do understand your opinion) I have made the few deck style videos , and will continue to, as well as these style. Although I will put more thought into the creativity of them. Appreciate the feedback , not so much the word choices. You have a merry Christmas as well mi amigo!
