Those straps that they sent you are typically used to secure a sleeping bag roll or bed roll. The tie straps on older sleeping bags always break. I like the newer ones with compression bags personally. I can always roll bags and tents tighter than the factory

The straps are sinch downs. I have the ones with hooks. They’re way better and faster than ratchets. The sheath is pronounced sheeth and is kydex which most nice gun holsters are made from
