Related to #8, if you want to play your older games on PS3 or 4 but your controllers' batteries don't last more than 5 min, you can just pair a dual sense or DS4 as a generic Bluetooth device and put the main one as player 2. I was playing the original demons' souls on PS3 with a DS5, it'll even turn on the console.

@@LWAllenyes but you still need to be able to navigate to the options menu in settings to “add Bluetooth devices”. You can add a ps4 controller on ps3. I didn’t realize you can connect a DualSense as well though I’ll have to test that theory. DualShock 4 controller on works sometimes on ps5. And only on ps4 versions of said titles.

It continues to shock me with how it literally does almost everything. Playing SSX 3 at 60fps? No problem. I am now able to play so many old games from my library that had been abandoned. It’s the first handheld I find genuinely comfortable and on par with a real console.

Actually, both people can play the same games at the same time via gamesharing on PS5, just like you could on PS4 and PS3. The only catch is that you need to make the other person's console your "primary console", and they have to do the same with yours. Now you both have access to each other's games. You just have to sign in as the other person to download their game, then sign out and sign back into your own account.

Yup. I do this with PS4, PS5, and Switch. Works perfectly and doesn't require any subscription service like PS+. I imagine the Xbox consoles can do the same, too. However, I don't have any to test with.

For the last one; You don't have to set it to start in Big Picture Mode. As long as steam is on (even minimized), all you have to do is turn on your controller (mine is the Xbox controller) and click on the main button (mine is the X box button) and it'll launch BP mode.

I don’t think you need steam to even be running. There’s a computer setting to tell your Windows what to do when you push the x-box button. I forget which area in settings it’s in, but it’s in your regular settings, related to gaming

It’s been ages since I’ve had to mess around with my computer so it could just be preset for you already

Also, with steam running (even in the background) and steam input enabled, you can use your controller as a mouse. One of the sticks is the cursor, the other scrolls, and the triggers are left or right click. This means you can also use the whole computer on a basic level (enough to turn on netflix for example) with just the controller

@@Snow_blvck im a father of 3, and raised my kids on my own. playing games helped me during sleepless nights, trying so hard to get the little ones to sleep. id cradle them in my arms,( not all at once, they are several years apart), and throw a game on. it was the hardest thing ive ever done, but the greatest at the same time. my best advice is this: when that child is screaming thru your soul, and frustration creeps up, headphones. put on some chill tunes, and just walk around holding your kid till they fall asleep. sometimes they just need to cry themselves out. again, best of luck, buddy! you got this

Well actually when it comes to the ps5 sharing you don’t have the issue with both playing the same game at the same time if you just switch accounts for example log into the account with the games available download them and switch to your personal account on the same system. Allows you to play the same game with friends without either one of you getting booted. Hope this helps someone somewhere

I set up dev mode on my series s last week and its amazing! I was trying to play my old ps2 and the games visuals looked worse than i remembered. I ripped my games files and threw em on the xbox, and since the emulator upscales, the games almost look like remasters! Im loving it so far!

I’ve used number 3 multiple times to play GameCube and Wii games on the Xbox. Once you get familiar with dev mode it’s pretty quick and easy to add games

As a ps5 console share user you don't have to plan around your friend you just need to download it to your console from their account then you are free to play it on your main account simultaneously with them as long as both accounts have ps plus

#5 you can play the same games from the same library at the same time. Its how i play multiplayer games with my wife. It is a feature i use almost constantly. For more context, it requires another layer of trust. considering its my wife, and her ps5 is 1 meter away, trust is not a problem. So it takes another step. ill explain. 2 ps5. All games 1 account. Wife ps5 I add my account, and make her ps5 my accounts home PS5. Then I share my account on her ps5 with my ps5. The host PS5 will allow any other accounts on that ps5 to access and play those games. wife uses her account to play my games, allowing me to play those same games at the same time with her. With a trusted friend. Two people could benefit from each others game libraries and play those games with each other. it just requires a constant internet connection.

The PS5 game sharing lets you both play at the same time. You can even co-op play the same game. I've got 2 PS5 consoles and 1 PS plus account. Purchased 1 copy of Lords of the Fallen. My son and I co-op play it all the time. We share libraries, etc. I was pleasantly surprised this worked, honestly.

Proton isn't the OS of the Deck, it's the compatibility layer, and in fairness to Valve, they spend a lot of time making things work properly. I have very few issues getting things to work with mine, and usually it's something stupid like a launcher causing issues. I've only just recently found out how to make sure Skyrim properly detects the presence of a controller when docked because of the bloody launcher! Most other issues can be fixed by choosing the most recent runtime, though it's worth checking if a game works properly natively, because that tends to be a slightly better experience (less frustration when launching, for a start).

On LCD yes, but on OLED I believe dark mode is easier on the battery since the pixels are off when black and just runs with a lower output when darker. An LCD on the other hand has to work harder with darker images since the LCDs have to block more light from the backlight.

I always wished Sony would have added the ability to completely shut the light off on the DualShock 4 controller rather than simply turning it down, like they did with the PS5 beep. Not only does it eat into the meager battery life of the DS4 (if I'm being generous), but it also creates an annoying reflection off whatever display panel you're using. I just covered the damn thing with electrical tape, but that is quite the unelegant solution, to say the least.

Not gonna read all the comments to see if someone pointed this out or not, but for #5 around 8:47, if you have your account on another system, and you make a separate user profile on their system, they can log into that profile and play at the same time as you. If they want a game you bought, they log in as you, download it, then switch profiles and it’s downloading for them as well. My Wife and I use this feature and play online games at the same time together.

For #5, if you’ve got both a PS4 and a PS5, the latter can use account sharing without interfering with the PS4 primary account. PS4 to PS4 does still require license verification. I am not sure if PS5 to PS5 does as well, but cross-gen doesn’t cause any issues

FYI Xbox has a share that is amazing. My friend and I have each other's home Xbox as each others and it allows us to play the same game at the same time. Only works with 1 other person but has saved us a ton of money.

I bought a couple of 8TB Seagate externals for my PS5 and Series X and Ive never looked back. Sure I could have spent like $200 on the PS5 expansion and like another $150 to $200 on a Xbox expansion card but if your like me and your not really playing everything at the same time anyway it works out. Just put your favorite games in your external and games your most likely to play on your console HD and your set! Then when your ready you just exchange them. The externals come with 3.0 USB cords so when you put a 60gb game into your external or move it to your console it moves it at 1GBps. Most ive ever waited for any series X or PS5 game was fifteen minutes. Its certainly better then waiting like 45-60 minutes for a game to install.

For Number 5, this is also applicable to Nintendo and even play both games at the same time. There is knack to it. Main User uses main game in a non main Switch. This guy plays offline, Non Main user, uses non main game in a main switch. This guy plays online, Both can play LAN/AD-HOC at the same time. To make it more understandable, Basically, someone buys on a console as the main account, and plays the game with an account that does not own the game. Then a friend would play on a console as the buyer but not the main account on another console.

Not sure how difficult it really is to expand storage for the Xbox. But for the PS5 it took me about 2-3 minutes to drop in an extra SSD and done... It cannot be that much harder on Xbox.

You can manage Series S storage space, especially if you're 33 or older. The Series S can't do 1080p HDR, but it will lock you in digital games. It doesn't remember you buying fallout 3 dlc and many things years ago.

The best way to do the console sharing on PlayStation is to have the system you are not going to play on be activated as your "primary" system. Anyone that has access to that system can play all games on it and even play online for free for all games. The second system you'll just have to log on and play. I did this with my multiple systems so my kids can play the same games and I only have to buy the game once. This has been part of the PlayStation ecosystem since the PS3.

Holding the sync button on the xbox controller just makes it ready for pairing to either xbox or Bluetooth. Double pressing it switches back and forth between console and whatever the last Bluetooth thing it was connected to.
