6 months is too short tbh. Their first priority is making the game stable and properly playable on old consoles then, fix all the bugs, glitches and crashes on all systems. They also promised to give out free dlcs in early 2021 and there's also the next-gen upgrade for consoles to come later this year. Police AI, Physics, NPCs are all things CDPR will get to work on after they've fixed all the above mentioned things since even in the apology video they only mentioned about fixing the bugs and glitches and not core issues like police AI, npcs or physics so I'm very sceptical about any game overhaul changes coming this year at all tbh... Let's hope for the best though🤞

Days Gone is also another great example. The game was riddled with bugs when it first launched and mocked online. Now, after it's been patched up a bit, it's one of the best open world experiences on the PS4.

Final Fantasy 14 's redemption success story is so influential that the new FF16 project is given to YoshiP and the FF14 team. It's amazing how much a game can change for the better with good leadership. I've started playing FF14 2 years ago and still playing till this day.

Oh yeah! Truth has been spoken a long time ago, but people seem to don't understand that. If the big companies started to do that, it means they want to destroy small companies in doing that. Because of the greed as always, good people that are working hard are losing again. Ikn there are a lot of scammers being as indie devs and crying for money then just running away. battlefront 2 is genuinely the definition of a comeback story, because now the game is perhaps my favorite competitive game out there and the best multiplayer star wars game in a while. Its genuinely a blast to play and doesn't have the micros or shitty progression system to bog down the solid star wars gameplay. I really hope people who still dismiss it due to its condition at launch give it another chance because it honestly deserves it. Here's hoping if they do a battlefront 3 they continue with the lessons they've learned, and maybe finally give us galactic conquest like we've been begging them to.

I think when you note that the FF14 original game "feel so far away" it affects your ranking of it on this specific list- I say this because as noted in the multi hour documentary on how the game was saved, this ENTIRE game was remade rather than just delivering on promises. I was a playtester for the original version of Fortnite, long before it became the crappy battle royale game it is today. The original gameplay was SO much better. I actually feel a little sad that most people will never know the original intention, and how much fun it really was. It was much more of a survival/base building type of game.

Boundless. It somewhat came out to absolutely no fanfare. It’s a really well made Minecraft MMORPG with micro transactions that you can 100% avoid and still have a rich experience. They even allow you to disable the real money shop so you never have to think about it. The game is still being updated. It has a friendly community and fun atmosphere. A 100% user ran economy. Really, if you haven’t seen it, give it a checkout. Thanks for the cool video!

In all honesty man, I get that you want to remain positive and I admire that, but forgiveness is a personal thing and this company did not do anything to me personally. I'm not going to forgive them because I don't hate them. But I AM going to remember what this company did and use that to make informed decisions about them in the future. I absolutely do not trust them. No one should. When they add the features they promised OR they acknowledge what they did, that trust may begin to be rebuilt. But so long as we say nothing and they let us forget, we're sending the message that game devs can lie and it's okay because eventually people will forget about it and trust will be restored. Halo the master chief collection belongs on this. You couldn’t get into multiplayer matches at launch so they fixed the servers added reach and ODST to it as well as fixing CE’s graphical downgrades and now add new content every season. It’s really cool to see stuff added to games that are over 10 years old

The Size and Scope of the Star Wars Universe Saga is extremely difficult, demanding, and challenging, even as just a mental exercise. Involving lots of script not known to the general public, all technically revolving around the life of stars rather than just a story about a bunch of jedi swinging their light sabers around. I totally forgive any game company for their past failures and hope that we can rethink this challenge. Now hand over Captain Solo before I use the force to stick a thermal detonator up your exhaust vent Jabba.

honorable mention to Mass Effect Andromeda and Ghost Recon Breakpoint, i can't express how happy i was when i played these 2 games after dumping them for a long time, sure mass effect just got better and had nothing added to it, but it deffinitely is not as broken as it was on launch and ghost recon... oh boy, that game has EVERYTHING you need to customize your experience, you can toggle stuff from Hud, Enemies, Loot, Survival Mechanics, even the Theme of the enemies on the island... it has it all for all kinds of players, i honestly didn't care about the loot grind and having to change weapons all the time like a looter shooter, but for those who hated it, know it that you can disable that completely now and play it just like Wildlands. in a perfect world, these games wouldn't launch as they do, but sometimes devs do it anyway, so in these cases, they are just like wine, gotta have patience and wait for it to be just right so you can enjoy it much better later on.

Being a huge fan of the fallout series and have waited for Bethesda to fix 76, I was still disappointed, literally soon as I left the vault I met some headless npcs that wouldnt take any damage.

Fyi game developers rely on "trash talking" to actually find and fix their mistakes. This is why games are released before major bug fixes and thus the reason so many games have day 1 patches.

@@RandomPerson-el8gv I never get the bad taste in mouth thing people keeps talking about fallout 76. We all know what it is at announcement, that it is a larger multiplayer fallout 4 that has no NPC. They explicitly said that, it’s the multiplier fallout 4 they couldn’t make before. The only crappy thing at launch was the bugs, it was buggy but nothing beyond new Vegas level of buggy. I don’t know what you all expected that can lead to a bad taste. It was underwhelming at first, they tried something and it didn’t work. But enough with that Todd Howard bad nonsense.

@@fanzhang5568 I don’t know if “left a bad taste in my mouth” was the right phrase, but it just ruined the game for me and gave me a weird feeling. It was also extremely empty and boring to play overall, I never got the feeling of enjoyment as I could never do anything worthwhile.

@@RandomPerson-el8gv it definitely did feel empty at first, but I actually liked that about it. It meant that, if they stuck with it, that they had a pretty large work to continually add on to. But I can attest to the fact that, while there are a looooot of empty parts, there are enough things in the world to not be barren, even at launch. Just took a bit more walking to get there lol

Unpopular opinion on Fortnite, but I LOVED the Save The World mode. I personally dislike online shooters and just enjoyed getting together with friends and building massive trap mazes for the enemies to die in. It was strategic and difficult at times and that made it very fun.

It's kinda sad seeing so many games were broken or incomplete at launch on this list. We sadly made this possible as a community. :( Inexcusable for big companies like Microsoft or EA, but I still feel bad for Hello Games and I'm happy they as a smaller studio got on track in the end!

If you don’t have Battlefront 2, it’s discounted on all platforms and the campaign is canon which is cool as hell. Probably the most in depth of a day to day star wars citizens life in the empire which kicks ass

EA didn't just back off with the micro transactions for battlefront 2, they were sued by a number of different companies and countries because it enabled gambling. And the reason why it had micro transactions for basically everything is because it was made by EA and they only care about making money.

A couple of notes (that Jake is to kind to say): - Fallout 76 was a broken mess filled with bugs, missing features, several servers problems and filled with hackers that got as far as extorquing players. - EA Battlefront 2, no game with this amount of greedness should be praise. It's basicly start investigations around the world about gambling mechanics on games (but it should have started with Fifa Ultimate). It's was a 60 dolars game that has pay to win mechanics. - No Man Sky did not suffered from "overhype", it suffered for lies. The devs blantantly lied about the game over and over again, talked about all the features that was not on the game. Even the hype was basicly created by them, but it was all based on lies, let's not forget that so others don't get tempetive to try to pull this move again. And the big disappointment was seeing CDPR following the same steps as these devs/publishers. The game industry has being adopting some very nasty and rotten attitudes on the last 10 ~ 15 years.

When I started no man's sky I figured it was going to be a non-stop-untill-you-die arcade-type title. I never looked deeper than my first three deaths because I started it on stadia a month ago (when I got stadia) and assumed it was just a throwaway game like I assumed the rest on the platform were. Now that I've enjoyed so many titles on there and now that your channel has shared some praise, I'm thinking I'll give it another shot. Also after watching your video I've felt motivated to start another character on diablo 3. I've played on and off since release night when I picked up my collector's edition pc version. I'm gonna keep doing what I do and play for this sweet blizzard cinematics.

I’m right there with you with Diablo 3. Been playing it since launch on PC. Have played it on and off and to this day and occasionally get that craving that only Diablo 3 can satisfy. You know that same feeling old school WOW players would get after taking too long of a break of the game. Diablo 3 still a blast although nowadays I hack and slash on my shiny Ps5

For an honorable mention I would say the Splatterhouse remake from 2014(?). I think it did really bad when it came to people buying the game (not sure about the reviews for it), but the game is actually fun to play because of the action and the over the top gore in the game.

I honestly missed the D3 auction house. Everyone said they didn’t like it, but they used the hell out of it. If it wasn’t for the AH, people would just use third parties to buy the items.

They used the Hell out of it because they were forced to do so; or did you conveniently "forget" how impossible it was for an item to drop with usable stats for your character? The AH was so blatantly shoved onto people, and Blizzard didn't even care to pretend that the "loot issue" wasn't a gameplay problem; that's how disgustingly greedy, deliberate, and arrogant they had become in wanting to make even *more money* than they were going to make just by releasing a new Diablo game. It was the biggest "F.U." I had ever seen (at the time) from a formerly decent, and respected game developer+publisher to its fanbase. (BTW, Diablo was the first game I played online --meaning: outside of a LAN-- so you bet your ass I was acting old and bitter when D3 came out and I took it "personally.") =P At least they turned it around, and I'm glad that they did.

The problem with fallout 76 is that it just felt like I was playing an MMO in Fallout 4. A better idea would’ve been just make fallout 76 single player, add in drop-in coop and/or a separate multiplayer mode for those that wanted what 76 ended up being.

I gotta say I never bought a loot box in battlefront. Didn’t even know you could. I collected free loot boxes all the time and that was great. It also wasn’t gambling. But they snagged that up and now I can’t unlock skins and this does not please me. I feel like it was a super petty move by EA. Like “oh you wanna complain? Well you get NOTHING.”
