Mojo got their information wrong with RE4. Kamiya did not direct the Resident Evil 4 game we know..sure his version became Devil May Cry, Shinji Mikami the original creator took over directing duties to give us the legendary game we known as RE4

#10 Half-Life (Levels didn't fit well, enemies could only be fought in the exact right way and plenty of technical bugs) #9 Fallout 3 (Black Isle filing for bankruptcy resulting in the game changing from what was originally intended) #8 Kirby's Return to Dream Land (Problems with programming multiplayer, poor quality when changed to 3D, pop-up book art style scrapped) #7 Mother 3 (World was too big for the N64, cancelled due to issues and Nintendo's focus on the GameCube) #6 Resident Evil 4 (Originally was intended to be more stylized and action heavy, considered to expensive and/or too formulaic after switch to GameCube) #5 Final Fantasy 15 (Originally a spin-off called Final Fantasy Vs 13 intended to be darker than the other games but the scope of the game grew too big) #4 Doom (2016) (Originally called Doom 4 and originally took place on Earth with a more realistic tone but was changed due to the mediocrity of the more realistic game) #3 Metroid Prime 4 (Didn't meet Nintendo's standards) #2 Resident Evil 2 (Story and writing seemed uninteresting and the brightly lit environments didn't fit the survival horror genre) #1 Banjo-Kazooie (Originally Project Dream and meant for the SNES, but moved to N64 and the game's characters were switched from young warrior to bear before the game was changed from 2.5 D to full 3D) Honorable mentions Team Fortress 2 (Originally was gritty and realistic before being shifted to a more silly cartoon style) Duke Nukem Forever (Took way too many delays) The Wolf Among Us 2 (One of if not the last game taken from Telltale after company's closure)

Doom 2016 and eternal are definitely two of the best first person action shooters I’ve ever played but man the ancient gods is ridiculous! It’s literally unbeatable to me! Lol

Maybe you want to check out the Ancient Gods Part 2 which was said to be a lot easier than the first one as well as even easier than the base campaign. Not that I know if I am going to beat AG1 since I'm just at the second level boss. I get nervous about wasting my time with bosses in fps since they are so random and just don't have much mechanics that have be derived from its minions so the player can determine how to deal with the larger threat. I mean, with the king bomb in mario 64, he was sort of like those falling bricks that you face before him.

Splatoon also completely restarted development. At first it was going to be a mario spinoff but they scrapped it, and went with bunnies but they realised that bunnies shooting ink didn’t really fit, so they changed it again to be squids

Good Info I hope they do something spectacular concept visually for Metroid Prime 4 I now I'm in the minority of the fan of Metroid M the visuals are awesome if they would build on that visual concept an gameplay an DEFINITELY make a coherent story....

I think they have enough machine power to simply do something like Nier Automatia and have multiple game types so as to assist gameplay mechanics which sort of suck in fpv such as the wall jumping segments. I dont' know if Metroid M did that but such features were just perfected in 2d games and reverting to those old school game's perspective can really help.

Watchmojo also forgot to mentioned that the original Resident Evil 2 version had a female character name Elza Walker, who would be replaced by Claire Redfield. But then again, watcmojo seems to forget that Claire exists and only thinks that Leon is the only main character 😑

Actually I think it is Elza walker they forget existed, they know Claire does but leon been around longer and has more RE stuff with him in it and he is even more popular than her but that is just my speculation.

I'm glad that Kirby's Return to Dreamland was a success, BUT I FEEL SORRY TO THOSE WHO LIVE IN THE USA DID NOT GET THE OFFICIAL RELEASE OF "MOTHER 3" AND I'M NOT HAPPY WITH METROID PRIME 4'S BEING RESTARTED! I think were it platform changes, the extra development time and/or restart of development is a bit more common than the game just not working or having a major design change during its same development on the same console (like banzo kazooie once it was on n64 and retooled from a 2.5 to a 3d adventure).

final fantasy 14 (pre realm reborn) the game was so bad it's not funny and ratings-wise it was very low then yoshi-P took over fixed some stuff then closed the game down and remade is from start even with a new engine Aka realm reborn now we are going on our 4/5th add on the game is better then it ever was :D
