Super Mario Bros 2 US! One of the earlier revelations of 'ha! Eff you, it was a dream!'

I'm shocked it didn't make the list. When I saw the title that's the game that immediately popped into my head.

That’s a bad way to handle the trope. Most of these examples are pretty good, or at least they sound good.

That Doritos game Dash of Destruction that came out on the old 360 arcade in 2008. I honestly thought that game was just a fever dream till I came across a KZbin video of it. You play as either a T. rex that can get robotic upgrades or a Doritos van that you can upgrade as well. If you’re the Dino then you chase the vans around a small map of a city that is 100% destructible and try to eat them before they deliver the Doritos and if your the van you were out running the Dino to make deliveries. It could be up to four players I think, I just remember having a blast playing it with my cousins. It was an Ad that was actually a fun game lol.

That bit about NORAD tracking Santa Claus is actually true. They do it every year on Christmas Eve.

What do you mean it's just a game about dying mind of a musician? Eternal Sonata is a true story and Polish National Treasure and should be a tresure of every nation! Kudos for spelling Tidus correctly ❤️

My pick is Dragon Quest Builders, which seems to take place in a world where the Hero from the first game accepted the Dragonlord's offer, but at the end of the game seems to have just been a dream all along.

So here's an odd thing, for some reason KZbin thought the word pupper was a different language and gave me the translate to English option and out of curiosity I wanted to see what it would translate "awww pupper" to & well it wasn't disappointing😂😂😂

You guys for sure trying to find a way to make Metal Gear Solid 2 and Final Fantasy X both be dream related. Neither one of those plots ended up inside a dream world. Here are a couple of games that actually took place in people's dreams. Super Mario Bros 2 for the NES, and Earthworm Jim 3D for the Nintendo 64
@ravinraven69139 ай бұрын
wouldn't ff8 be more dream like since they do have a "dream world" until you get to the ending at least. though Tidus is apparently a summon, so his human life is basically a dream too.
@johnathanlett40949 ай бұрын
@@ravinraven6913 he may be more like a summoned, but the game takes place in reality and not inside the dream. Therefore the game was not just a dream

Star Ocean Till the end of time and the entire Star Ocean series took place in a futuristic MMO universe simulation from 4D beings that were just normal human beings that were slaves to their oppressive controlling government so they made our universe called 'Eternal Sphere' to escape into to be free to live how they wished and have somewhere to go. However, the AI inhabitants of the Eternal Sphere gained consciousness and began to rebel against being deleted. Not only was it a 'it was just a dream' cop-out for the entire series but it never went into detail why the inhabitants of the ES gained self awareness. Did they always have separate real souls and emotions or did the mere suffering outcrys of the ambitions/wishes/feelings/self-inserted personalities of the real 4D humans become real and attached themselves to the ES's advanced AI? From that, did the AI only think they were real because of the borrowed feelings from the enslaved 4D beings because the 4D beings couldn't live as they wished? Did the 4D beings free themselves from their oppressive unseen government and live in the real world? Did the Eternal Sphere get deleted at the end? Several, if not more, questions were never answered in Star ocean till the end of time. A real slap in the face. At least Tidus in FFX, despite being a dream, had a real soul and went to the Farplane after his dream form faded from the fayth. He still existed in a natural form after death and when he was brought back in X-2.

Idk if it’s a spoiler to say Eternal Sonata is a dream, it launches that point (I think) from the gate.

I thought Tidus was pronounced Tie, not Tea?
@jamesborb42559 ай бұрын
It's Latin, not English
@ravinraven69139 ай бұрын
in Japanese its pronounced Tīda or spelled ティーダ. So it is Tea-da. In English or most other western languages, its Tidus. Its name is not Latin....its from Okinawan dialect that means Sun...Its like how we call Japan, Japan, but they say Nippon. Same name but different languages with different pronunciations. Leave it to the English to ignore how to say things in English though...Tidus, the U makes the I sound, so Teye...and no vowel to make the U sound so its a us sound. So its phonetically Teye-dus.
you never played FF10 I assume, but the pronunciation of Tidus. the Japanese ティーダ is pronounced Tīda, like teeda but in English its pronounced Tye-dus. So what you're doing is pronouncing both Japanese names and English names and not getting either right lol either its pronounced Teeda or its pronounced tye-dus always glad to see a video even if it has small mistakes, doesn't take away from the over all message
