Back in the day, I was crazy good at Bust-a-Move 2. My friends got sick of losing to me, so I would give myself challenges like holding the controller upside down or playing with my feet. I still wouldn’t lose. It felt like sweet revenge though, given how much they all smoked me at FPS and fighting games.

One of my favorites is the KZbinr named Aura Puffs, who beat Mega Man X and Mega Man X2 simultaneously with one controller. There were no save states or pausing one game while playing the other. The video is an impressive watch-there was clearly a ton of planning to make the feat possible.

Back when I was younger in the Atari 2600 and Intellivision days with fewer games and more time I came up with plenty of self imposed restrictions to keep things interesting. Now that I’m middle aged, with more games and less time, I don’t have the need for it anymore but I appreciate those who still do these sort of things.

Yeeeesss.. As Paxman would no doubt say. Even as a person who was parrtial to playing the occassional Commodore 64 game with my feet back in the day, most of these just have me asking "Why?" You might as well challenge yourself to go for a wee whilst doing a handstand or wearing boxing gloves for how much most of these challenges actually add to the experience. At least playing a game with your feet is teaching you something. Even if that thing is "It's stupidly hard to play a game with your feet.."

Usually charisma isn't really that useful but in a pacifist challenge it is. I like how he pointed out that people will still die on this quest but you won't be directly involved in killing them. Using a single Slime? That's possible? Well I have seen people use their starting Persona which had issues. 3:58 That sounds very annoying. 4:43 There's a KZbinr who does these challenges for a living. I don't know how he is not tired of doing the same thing over and over. I guess his mind is built different. I have tried a challenge like this back then because I didn't know how to catch Pokémon. People have beaten Dark Souls with a guitar from Guitar Hero. 8:10 You can do that? I have no idea how it works. The potato battery make sense since it does work. A pomegranate controller? Really? How does the lipstick one even work?

The pomegranate works in the same a potato does. In fact, anything that’s acidic will work. Lemons, oranges, grapefruit, etc. For the lipstick one, she used a custom usb circuit board that she key-mapped to the fire button and attaches to the lipstick with alligator clips. When she touches it to her lips (which are conductive) it completes the circuit and fires the gun.

I agree over rated walking simulator. No good puzzles no good narrative and lack of everything. Its to bad how people assume stuff and attack you with baseless claims for no reason like Jasonschuler here just for having an opinion.

@@curtiscanfield7902 It’s always hilarious when you people try to use “walking simulator” as an insult, as if that’s not exactly what people who play games like Gone Home and What Remains of Edith Finch want. Also, let’s be honest. The vast majority of hate for that game came from the LGBT+ reveal. That’s simply a fact. So it’s not “baseless”, it’s a statistically good guess.

@@jasonschuler2256 Huge difference because What remains of Edith finch is one of my favorite games of all time because it is absolutely fantastic. Welcome home is just boring its hardly a game and again it's just my opinion. I have played some other terrible ones as well. I'd say the best one I have played recently is sable but thats kind of a stretch for the genre.

I don’t want to argue about the merits of Gone Home, as that’s an entirely subjective topic. I don’t think there’s really anything to be gained in arguing about it beyond ‘I liked it, and you didn’t’. I only take issue with the way the OP phrased their comment.
