A lot of people say bad things about you not doing sushi, I think you should just come on camera to explain what it's about. You do so much more than that. I love the concept and all the content. I'm going to buy those chef's knives you use too. I just think a little more face time could get you to the million subscribers you deserve.

I cant finish my chip bowl, now i cant make it an origami so i used a zip lock and sucked the air with a straw, forgetting that it was sour cream and onion flavor, so i caughed for 15 minutes. Thanks!!!

Yeah.... good luck sucking all the air of a raw chicken or pork meat from the bag.... 🤣🤣🤣🤣
@qcislander5 жыл бұрын
Laugh all you want, but it's easily done, Hiram. A couple of pounds of salmon bits, couple of pounds pounds of raw red meat, couple of pounds of poultry, couple of pounds of giblets... it all can be done without a hitch if you *start* with the "ziplock underwater" thing after squeezing it into a more or less single piece (about 20 seconds' work), and use a straw while it's under the water to remove the remaining air before sealing. It'll freeze beautifully for 6 months or more. Using irregular "chunks" like whole birds or non-sawed pork chops works pretty well, but it does leave more air behind... it won't be anything like *perfect* after 14-15 weeks in the freezer, but that fresh-killed food of yours will still be better after most of a year than store-fresh, vac-packed and frozen will be after a month and a half. "Good luck"? It's how I preserved fish and game for more than15 years. No complaints from wife or friends.

The vietnamese go the opposite way: They use a compressor to inflate their dogs before they roast them... Makes them more crispy. Very astute. Would be worth including in one of these 'food hacks' videos.

I've been using the straw/vacuum seal thing for a long time. Usually works, but sometimes the bag will not hold the seal. Do not use a zip-lock bag to keep a cell phone dry, even one with double zips. Get a waterproof phone case. Trust me on this.

Balloon: Ok, yeah, that's not a bad Idea... :) Popcorn bag tricks: another good trick for popcorn bags is that if you leave the top of the bag almost entirely closed, like it usually comes out of the microwave with the top opening just big enough to allow steam to escape it's usually also open enough to allow un popped popcorn kernels to exit the bag when the bag is shaken with the opening down towards a bowl. occasionally, you get a popped kernel or 3 that shakes its way out as well, but it's no big deal. Still wish you'd get back to making sushi though... :)

Hi, i really like Your kitchen tips videos. I've tried the 'raspberry cola' (which is awesome by the way), and found a better solution (for people who don't have a juicer). Take tea brewer pot, place the frozen raspberries in the brewer and pour cola on them. This way the fruit flavour goes in to cola and the leftovers are separated from drink. Enjoy! :)

No. 6 could be done with Milo as well. For those who don't know Milo, it's a chocolate drink powder brand common in Australia and a few other countries. Commonly mixed into cold milk, but can be mixed into hot water and then have milk added. Use the latter method and freeze into cubes.

I'm not into Nutella, but I love making milk, banana, and peanut butter smoothies and that just gave me the idea to hold on to the smaller Skippy jars or whatever peanut butter jars I buy (that will fit into the refrigerator door shelves), and use them to hold the smoothies I make instead of just getting rid of them! 😊 ... hey instead of making coffee ice cubes, why not do that with half and half? Then you're getting your coffee and your cream and your set! Now, if you're like my mother and prefer your coffee black, then yeah that works too. Lol
