I use the Clean Zone method and I use it almost daily; I have a routine of starting by self-care of myself, going to the kitchen, drinking water, clean and sanitize the kitchen, make the DIY cleaner for the day filled with essential oil, go upstairs, make the bed, clean the bedroom, go to the bathroom, clean and sanitize the room, open the windows, water the plants. I go downstairs, make a cup of tea with a light breakfast, have my devotion time/prayer, check my calendar, make necessary phone calls, go to the home office and pay bills and once a week call the bank to complete the home finances reconciliation for the week; I do a load of laundry while cleaning up the downstairs bathroom; fold the laundry, put it away; I always turn on the diffusers in the downstairs area of our home; I plan the meals for the day and pre-prepare. I live in the United States in Tennessee, I am retired.

I like to clean up the kitchen in the a.m. while the coffee is brewing, and anytime during cooking. That's a great use of time. I also use the turbo 5 minute clean up often, and once going, keep going longer from the momentum. ;) Still working on the clutterzones where everything lands, but there are definitely improvements, lol Thank you

Hello from Finland! 💙 Thanks so much for this video! I got tons of inspiration from it! I'm not familiar with the FlyLady system, but after watching this video I desided to try that 15-minutes-cleaning thing. I have to admit that I was quite sceptical at first: I mean that 15 minutes is such a short time and even though I live in a 33 square meters studio apartment, how could I get anything done in just 15 minutes?🤔 But I set on my timer and started of my kitchen area. I emptied my dishwasher and put in the dirty dishes from the sink. Then I decluttered the kitchen counter and my very small kitchen table and wiped them with a micro fibre cloth. Then I made my bed very fast and picked up couple of dirty clothes and some miscellaneous stuff from my living area and at that point the 15 minutes was up. I was simply amazed. My whole apartment looked sooo much cleaner than just 15 minutes before! Such a difference, so THANK YOU! 🥰 And now I go to shine my sink! 😁 Btw, I love your accent! It sounds Russian to me. Here in Finland we have lots of people from Russia so I hear very similar accent almost everyday!😊❤

Omg!!! Thank you sooo much for this video!! I am a very messy person. And the home gets very overwhelming as the messes piles up all the time so I just leave it for a week. 😳 You made a comment about stop being a perfectionist! I thought me... a perfectionist hell no!!! 🤣😂 Then it dawned on me. My mother was a perfectionist and I was always told I wasn't doing things to her standards ans she would just do them for me. This created this mentality that everything I did wasn't perfect!!! Holy crap! I've spent yearsssss in therapy to figure out what is wrong with me and you just helped me solve it in one video!!!!! This just opened up a whole new world for me!! Thank you so much!! Setting a timer and cleaning my living room right now!!!

Sometimes I divide one room into zones. The bed and underneath in the bedroom for example, the dresser and the area nearby it, the bedside table, and then dusting and the floor for vacuuming. It helps to make an overwhelming job seem much smaller and easier to accomplish.

Shining my sink!!! Before I cook, I fill the sink with hot water (saw that tip on your channel the other day)I put dishes in it as I go along. Washing up is so fast this way, I don't think I need a dish washer! I finish off with rubbing the sink with 24% vinegar mixed with a few drops of concetrated dishwasherliquid, for that deep mirrorlike polish. Gamechanger!! Love your channel, just subbed up! ❤❤❤

24% vinegar? How do you have this?
@liselottenilsen408
@liselottenilsen408 4 жыл бұрын
@@Mizzfm1 I tried to look up the correct word. "Vinegar" was what I got. I mean the kind of "vinegar" you would use to pickle vegetables with. It's a clear liquid that's available in 12 and 24 %. I don't mean red wine vinegar or white wine vinegar. Hope that clarifies a little. The 12 % didn't have any effect on shining my sink at all. Not in my opinion.

I absolutely love your channel! I am a new subscriber. I was diagnosed with a very serious autoimmune disease that causes incredible fatigue and chronic pain. I for over 25 years I kept a beautifully clean house. But, things did get out of hand when I could not physically take care of cleaning. My husband did his best, but he doesn't see things that are out of place. (He does a fantastic job of being my caregiver!) So I created designated areas of the house as "no clutter" zones, like the kitchen counter and dining room table. Then I de-cluttered a large amount of decor, collectibles, and simplified how I decorate my house which makes cleaning easier. I really like the idea of setting a timer and many of your other suggestions. Thank you for your channel! Patti xxx

I don't know why many people complain about laundry all the time. I wish I had a washing machine that takes care of clothes. I have to hand wash each cloth every day and hung it to dry individually. If you have luxury of getting things done by a machine, do it.

I think it's more about hating one task but not minding others rather than hating doing laundry specifically. I don't mind doing laundry at all, I love the fresh smell and do it regularly. For me it's mopping the floors that I hate... Sounds like you have a great habit in place, even though you don't have the technical support of a machine. Congrats on that! I don't have a dishwasher so I can somewhat understand the pressure of the daily task.
@liselottenilsen408
@liselottenilsen408 4 жыл бұрын
Hi! I don't know your situation, but I do know that people who, for whatever reason, can't have a laundry machine installed, get so called " camper" machines instead. You attache it to your water tap. When you're done, you can put the machine away, if you don't like it up front. You can get them on Amazone. They do a great job! There are also a more affordable, smaller model, where you spin the laundry in a drum by hand. Those fit on a kitchen work top. I think even a smaller model, would save you time and effort. Just a tip! I envy you your self discipline, wish some for myself! 😉

Hi Natalia :) I love your videos. You always sparks joy in something as boring as cleaning the house :) As I'm not a native speaker, I believe everyday is good to learn a little bit more. When I bought bed for my daughter and told my friend about it by saying something like "it wasn't bad, we have a bed", I got her really confused. It was because of my pronunciation. I used to say bad as you do (bed) and it should be said as we read it (bad). Hope you won't find it hurtful in any way :) Greetings from Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

I have a new motto now, if I buy something new I have to get rid of something old. I just found your video and I will be moving within a year, so I am getting rid of a lot of things. Thanks for sharing this video with us

These are normal things in our home. I grew up in a home that was constantly perfectly clean because my parents taught me to clean up after myself everywhere every time and all the time. My home has always been perfectly organized and spotless. I clean my sink at least 15 times a day, my bathroom after everything I do. These are things that take not more than a few minutes but they make such a difference. First thing that I do when I get up from bed is to make it, then I head to the bathroom to brush my teeth and clean my face. I am also OCD so this helps too 🙈🙈

About the clutter in child’s room…….my Mother would sift out some toys (stash temporarily) after abt week or two, bring out and stash another group. She felt everything out at once was distracting to children.

P.S. I am going back to cleaning my room now, I empty out as much stuff as I can and vacuum then I put back only the things I want to keep. There’s a lot of stuff going in the trash today

I do a lot of the FlyLady system. The morning swish and swipe and )cleaning the toilet with a swish) really keeps the toilet clean. I never have to scrub the toilet. I deserve a clean bathroom

Put on timer or a set list of music to dance and clean until music is done. When the last song comes on you know how much time is left to finish.

Hi. Just downsized and moved 2 months ago. Use towels and casual clothes such as knitwear and socks to cushion breakable items, rather than paying for bubble wrap. Bundle hanging clothes still on hangers, movers often have wardrobe boxes. Or just attach 5 hangers with a twist tie or rubber band, and bag them with the hooks out. Use wine or liquor boxes with dividers for drinking glasses and bottles such as condiments, spatulas and ladles. Use smallish boxes for books, as they are heavy.

Start as early as possible packing, it is surprising how many things we have. And some are easily overseen. Choose clothes for the next two weeks and pack the rest. Use clothes for security some delicate items. If you are using moving company move the most precious and important to you items by yourself , if possible. Kitchen, most things on a daily basis can be cooked with few basic utensils: cutting board, knife and 2 pots and pans. Pack the rest- you will be happier later. Moving is a perfect time to get rid of a lot of stuff you haven't been using.

It’s color catchers, i.e. sheets that absorb and trap loose dyes in your wash water, protecting clothes against color bleeds and helping preserve original colors.
