Thanks! You've probably covered this in another video, but I always find it confusing how "Freund(in)" can mean both "friend" and boy/girlfriend depending on context
@bittorrentsdownload
@bittorrentsdownload 3 жыл бұрын
That's right but many people say: "Ich gehe mit meiner Freundin ins Kino" when you mean your significant other and "Ich gehe mit einer Freundin ins Kino" when you are going to the cinema with a (female) friend. The key is to use the possessive adjective MY for your better half and the indefinite article A for someone you don't get jiggy with.

"But since it's German, and Germans like to be weird" 😂😂😂. That was really funny and correct to some extent 😂😂😂 German philosophers and scientists contributed heavily to sciences. According to the theory of linguistic relativity, in its strong form, Language affects the way ppl percieve the world "the Weltanschauung". I always thought that this theory explains the reasons German is difficult and why many scientists and philosophers are native speakers of this language. Ich bedanke mich bei dir für deine wertvollen Lektionen. Omitting die Höflichkeit is in no case a sign of lack of respect, i did that out of familiarity cause we both play for the same team 🏳️‍🌈 hihihihihi Much love liebe Lehrerin ♥️

Hallo, Anja! I am trying to continue learning German after a ten year hiatus. I was wondering if you have a video that talks about zu-infinitives or the erweiterter Infititiv in German. I am having a hard time on the internet finding a decent explanation as to why they exist and when to use them or their non-zu-infinitive form... when to use fernsehen vs. fernzusehen as an example. Let me know if you do have one, or maybe you could just explain it to me if you don't. :)
