He really was something special in TNA. For as much as they owe Taker and Kane, I feel the current crop of high flying tall men like Damian Priest and Lance Archer really owe a lot to Morgan, because he was a high flying seven footer at a time when it was still only Taker and Kane really doing that shit. Much like how athletic big boys like Keith Lee owe as much of a debt to Roadkill as they do the obvious examples of Samoa Joe, and Vader and Bam Bam Bigelow before him. Because remember that Roadkill was a fucking 400 pound Amish guy hitting fucking somersault planchas all over the goddamn place! But, like Morgan, people seem to sleep on how much of a revelation Roadkill was.

I've known Nathan for nearly 30 years and I would never class him as a failure. From where he came from he has made good, winning power lighting titles, strong-man titles, his wrestling career from Australia to Japan to WWE, and carved himself a pretty respectable acting career from Jackie Chan's First Strike, The Condemned, Troy, Conan the Barbarian, Charlie's Farm, Mad Max: Fury Road, The Scorpion King and Mortal Combat to name a few. He has come a long way from being one of Australia's Most Wanted, turned it around for the better and I'm proud to know him!
@zoid_on_youtube
@zoid_on_youtube 3 жыл бұрын
this list specifically refers to these mens careers within WWE specifically, they arent calling them failures in life. if "success" within WWE can be defined by a reasonably lengthy tenure with consistently memorable moments, then youd have to admit Jones doesnt quite make the cut. Super glad to hear hes successful in his other ventures, though.
@TheChangeling
@TheChangeling 3 жыл бұрын
@@zoid_on_youtube I also have to say that although he wasn’t with WWE for a long career, he was not released by the WWE, it was Nathan who left while on tour in Australia. So also depends on how you define the word “failure”. The WWE may have had plans for Nathan, but no one will ever know.

Cultaholic: Giant Silva has been included in the list where The Giant (not one of Big Show's previous gimmick or Big Show himself at all) who failed in WWE Me: I'm glad that I never knew who he is & don't know why he exists in WWE anyway

Bam Neely's greatest (only?) claim to fame is being named after Cam Neely; former Hockey Player and the Great Seabass in a few movies with Jim Carrey.

I know videos about failed or bad big guys in wrestling have been doing the rounds recently so I feel like it needs to be said; big guys in wrestling can be awesome and so can slower paced big guy matches, they've just been misused for decades now

Apparently in wrestling, not having a championship means you failed for some reason. Some of these guys had a run at least and most on this list are actually known names.

If you're into martial arts cinema, Nathan Jones is a star. The guy plays the top muscle of the bad guy opposite some real industry legends like Jackie Chan and Tony Jaa.
